Your free to try it for 2 plex of $35 and see if it gives you a warning because it doesnt, that was the point of this thread that the trade system is flawed, theres no point ganging up on a new player and telling him how dumb he is while not accepting that maybe a part of the game mechanics of the game dont work properly, which they dont.

I just tried ingame and what you describe Is not possible.

Player 1 put a plex in trade

Player 2 Put 2B ISK

Player 1 Validate the trade

Player 2 change the offered amount from 2B to 2M and validate

Player 1 have to confirm again

If it makes you feel better, I literally fell for the same scam, sold a PLEX for 1.2m. Felt pretty bad about myself for a while too, takes me a long time to make a billion.. live and learn I guess. Blink

You still fail to see.

It's not the trade system that is flawed. It's your understanding of it that was (not anymore) flawed.

You were greedy and you assumed to know how the system works. You were scammed by someone who actually knows how it works.

That's on you. You trusted a total stranger and you used a system without first understanding how that system works.

Your butthurt over it, which is natural. However that doesn't change the fact that the flaw is all yours. Not the systems.

You claim to be a new returning player, yet you started this character in 2013 and you bought a mining permit last year (it expired 2 days ago by the way. Better renew).

Your character is old enough that you should know what's what.

Can you explain the scam this person fell for if you have to reconfirm the trade upon change? I don't really get this.

Give it up, guy. You used the trade function (intended for use to do outside of the market exchanges presumably between corp. mates or friends) to get an obviously "too good to be real" deal. You state yourself you did not trust the guy, as you had to test his veracity. THEN, when you thought you had the goods he yanked the carpet. Stahp defending yourself. At this point, you look ridiculous two times over - multiply it with each outraged response from here on out.

For newer players reading this Chicken Little (the sky has fallen already) cry baby post: Use the market and "find in contracts" functions to conduct market-based trades. What's a market-based trade? Easy. ISK for goods/goods for ISK. If you use the in-station trade function for something other than what it's there for, you'll get this crybaby experience yourself.

Word to the wise (which the OP apparently is not...or much the wiser now?)

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

Maybe you should stop blaming the game for your mistake. Pay attention next time.

Hi There,

After just testing this in game, anytime there is a change of items or ISK offered you are required to press accept again. This is to prevent the exact issue you just complained about. In the future it is suggested you pay closer attention regarding trading.
