There is a lot of wars in imperium for no reason. Some corps and alliances has dozens of war at the same time. They declare wars randomly, just because they can. I found out it is very disturbing to me, all the time checking corp war info.
I think ccp should limit that ridiculous war dec ability somehow. I wonder if CCP will rise up prices or something, to declare wars.Active wars must be limited to corps and alliances with reasonable purpose to fight against. What do you think about that?

No, I mean how could one decide what a 'reasonable reason' is ?

It would also further break EVE:s core concept of 'player freedom' where much more is allowed compared to other MMO:s.

The only thing that needs to be nerfed regarding war decs is Marmite...

... specifically, their war history. I think I opened it up about a week ago, and the client locked up for a complete minute while it tried to display all of their finished wars! Mad. Lol

War decs have already been nerfed heavily, ask any old privateers. (used to be fun having most of EvE as a viable target anywhere too).

If you want to avoid wars it's easy - just be in an NPC corp. Joining a player corp and getting the benefits from it has a cost (which is being able to be war decced).

As one of those privateers you are talking about, yeah, yeah they have.

Op should try a focused war and tracking a limited number of targets in empire space for a month without sitting in a hub (and i mean actually try) and then report back before telling us how wars need further restrictions.

I consider wardec's to be a pain... so much so that I am actually considering leaving eve because of them. My ex-alliance (null) alliance have been in a 8 month NON-MUTUAL war, so I moved to a new alliance only to have that wardec'd too by the same ppl. I came to the conclusion that these idiots sit in Jita and wardec any and all alliances when they see a Jump Freighter undock. Wars on Null Sec alliances should be limited to the null sec region they live in... Hi-Sec corps should not be allowed to wardec Null corps - If they want a fight - come to where we're at. Yes i am talking to you lily livered yellow scoundrals, instead of wailing on our indy pilots in a defenseless ship.

Show us on the Jump Freighter doll where the bad Complaints Department or Vendetta BLOPS touched you.

Whining about wardecs has no purpose, stay in NPC corp and you are safe.

Unless you get ganked by the Goons or CODE. ofc.

Why do you care abot wardecs if you're in a 0.0 alliance? You live in an environment where everyone can shoot you at any time with no other consequences than weapon timers.

If you live in a 0.0 Alliance either you personally or preferably the alliance as a whole should have Alt's to do the hauling from high-sec space. The other option is to let other players haul the stuff for you via contracts. If you are part of a player corp you should be aware that there will be hostiles waiting for you at most major tradehubs so the simple advice I guess would be: Don´t fly to those places.

People will wardec for no reason that's the problem today.
Just so people can't do pve content together ( let's say incursions or other pve stuff ).

If i look at some alliances that have 400 active war decs it's clear that they only war dec only because they can, and there's no reason for it.

Vendetta wardecced me today for some random reason, they won't get any kills on my alts alliance though :P

If management wishes to ignore civil order and its accoutrements, then most activity becomes chaotic and with no logical foundation. Order being what it is. Disorder being what it is. You can't have technological advancement without order, regardless of the sci fi library's contention otherwise. Advancement is order.

So. To have this way of doing things we should all be on a jungle planet, naked carrying sharp sticks, cause with this disorder that's as far as anyone is ever going to get. The gankers should have no problem with it. All you have to do
to gank is jab! jab! jab! (Where's thought required for that, huh?)

This is what becomes of proceeding from a false assumption. This is also the sort of Gordian's Knot the average person tries to pretend isn't there. The ones who enjoy it? All rationalizations and justifications.

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

Can I have your stuff? You certainly don't seem to be able to cope with Eve.

Just for the sake of the discussion, could you state what you'd consider to be a good reason to declare a war on someone in Eve? Better yet, what's a good reason to do anything at all in Eve?
