Allow more attribute remaps

I have just cancelled my superscription because all the stuff i want to train has primary/secondary attributes that i'm not mapped for, and the next time i can remap is 8 months away.

See you in 8 months... That is all o/

You realize that the difference between perfect remap and off attribute remap train times is only a couple days a month, right?

so...how long do you think it will take you to make up for 8 months of not training at all compared to training with suboptimal attributes?

Depends on what you are training but still, if it's as insignificant as you say, then surly you wouldn't be against what said.

I don't feel i have to "make up" for anything. In fact, I'll save £80.

You're entire complaint was about sub-optimal training. You could be playing the game and having fun for the next eight months, but now you will show up and be eight months behind in training.

Set your attributes even to each other, ignore them, relax and enjoy the game. Not everything in every MMO needs to be min/maxed to have fun.

Oh I'm not quitting the game (i have another character) I'm just unsubing this one as i don't like unoptimal training. I dealy I would have kept this character going and trained command link skills.

Better idea. Remove attributes. They're another barrier that screws over new players.

By far the better solution.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Yeah, your attitude of 'Max SP/hour or im not playing' is not one that should be reinforced or catered to. Luckily it seems attributes are on the way out any ways. Otherwise, -1.

Or CCP could just remove attributes like they've said they want to rather than holding off 'because of the LP market', and players will just adjust as we decide based on what happens to LP values.
And then none of this ever becomes an issue.

PS, Off map vs On Map is actually quite massive. I believe it's over 25% difference in training time. I'd have to bother doing exact maths for more detail.

Yeah... I've an alt training carrier 5 soon. Had him Int/Mem, remapped him to do ship skills. Int/Mem it was like, 68 days or something for carrier 5, and then...... 50?52?? I think? on Per/will. Depending on the skill, it's certainly not negligible. But yes, +1 to removing attributes in a becoming stealth remove attributes thread.

Why waste the time with this when attributes just need to go away completely, especially since CCP has stated that they want attribute to go away.

OP let me paraphrase your complaint.
I screwed myself over by remapping BEFORE I was sure I had a years worth of training for that remap and now I am mad because CCP will not give me a remap to correct my poor decision.

Until such time as attributes go away the way to handle this is set your attributes flat and ignore them while you play the game and have fun. While an off-map train may add significantly to training time a flat map has relatively little affect and that is more than offset by the ability to train whatever you want, whenever you want.

Wow, the ultimate failure of min/max "logic". Oh noes I can't train at 100% absolute optimum, so therefore I'm going to quit for a year and not train anything at all and then I will get more skillpoints faster somehow.

Lol ccp also said training would be the only way to get sp into the game not 3 months before announcing dailies. Is ccp sees they can make a quick buck it doesn't matter what they said to us in the past.

At this point it a far more likely that we will not only see aur remaps but they will probably even start selling learning boosters to all players and not just new ones
