GMVA Participation in Observing Succession Trials in Dam Torsad

As many of you know, we are on the brink of a major event in astropolitics, with the final determination of the new Emperor or Empress of the Amarr Empire.

These events are important as the future of the Cluster may pivot on the immense power the Golden Throne holds, and the final outcome of the Succession Trials may bring war, peace, chaos, or even opportunity.

Given the importance of these trials, the Villore Accords will be sending a delegation to the city of Dam Torsad, on Athra, as representatives of the Federal Defense Union, and observe the trials first-hand.

We shall also use this opportunity to lobby President Roden regarding the situation of the Second Gallente-Caldari War, the disposition of low security space in Federation control, the creation of the Villore Assembly as a body to represent Federation Loyalist capsuleers to the Senate, and other important topics.

GMVA members in attendance:

Julianus Soter, CEO of Moira.
Der Bischof, CEO of HILDCO
General Stargazer, Moira. Director of Counter-Intelligence
CheesusCrust, HILDCO Director of Logistics
Niden, Moira. Director of Propaganda and Diplomacy
Tarek Raimo, Eleutherian Guard Officer
Iroido Soner, Moira. Director of Logistics
Aster Vinland, Moira. Operative
Nariyu, Rebel Gallente Inc. Operative

GMVA invites Federal Loyalists to convalesce at our residence in the city of Dam Torsad during the Trials, and to consult with us on these important matters, at 21:00 local time, next Thursday. Envoys from other factions and organizations are of course welcome. As an important reminder, the event shall be neutral ground, and we shall brook no animosity between opposing sides. It is a critical chance to begin to build a new future for New Eden, and for the Federation. We shall present tokens of appreciation to those that attend and consult in good faith.

Regards,

Julianus Soter

I didn't know foreigners were allowed into Dam-Torsad.

Much less foreigners representing a hostile nation engaged in active conflict.

"The final bouts of the Imperial Succession Trials will be held on the evening of Friday April 22nd, before an elite audience of dignitaries, including a significant number of capsuleer pilots from across New Eden."

We will be there. Shame you cannot be in attendance, Ms. Valate.

Don't mind me, just waiting for an Amarr Navy officer come along and verbally lash out on Mister Soter!

Seriously, you Gallente loyalists should keep out of Amarr business and watch the final trials and coronation on GalNet like the rest of us!

But where would the fun be in that!

Besides, I hear the Amarrians can let their hair down and have a good party from time to time. War can be quite exhausting and tiresome after so many years.

Do you wish to be the first in line to kiss the ass of the new throne? Or just make a noise about attending.

If our allies in the Empire will need help removing such unwanted hostile FDU presence from their space, we will be glad to come and help. Since gallente have been running lately so much in our part of warzone, we can bring our fleets to make them run from your space as well.

We will consider it an honor if you let us wreck their puny ships standing to you shoulder to shoulder, as allies and friends.

Oh what a wonderful idea. Let's announce to the whole Galaxy exactly where and when the Federation President will be, along with major dignitaries from across the cluster so they can all congratulate the emergence of the new Amarr Emperor.

The new Amarr Emperor, because the old one made the mistake of announcing and exact time and location that she'd be at, right before the Drifters came by and...

What could possibly go wrong?

We managed to make it through the SoCT Symposium on Emergent Threats without being massacred. I'm sure there will be plenty of security for the Trials.

I regret that I won't be able to attend the festivities this year. Yulai was quite the spectacle last year, and it looks like Dam Torsad will be just as exciting.

I'm betting on the drifters for the trials, them coming in and killing everyone....

Someone tries to step up and do a bit of good and all they get is mocking and crap-talking. It's sad how base some of us capsuleers can be.

TL:DR: This is why we can't have nice things.

Is there a point to this idle incivility?

I take it you won't be attending the party then...

Now I wonder, was it directed to Soter or that gallentean swine Bete?

Pity you aren't one of us anymore, I bet you'd be happy to put a bullet at Soter's silly ship as well if he will be so stupid to bring it to Empire space P

Monsieur Soter

Are you sure you are able to officially represent the Federal Defense Union in the Amarr empire?

One thing are capsuleers aligned with the FDU under the Faction War concord agreement between nations, which allows open hostilities between those who enlisted, but it is another story to representing a Federal military institution outside sovereign territory.

I would say you are stepping out of bounds here, and misrepresenting the Federation at large, if anything a peaceful, non-military delegate directly appointed by President Roden and accepted by the Sarum family might be the only way to correctly proceed in this scenario.

Otherwise we might run into the troublesome issue of offending the Amarr empire, and we do not want that do we?.

I'm pretty sure you said "officially" not Soter. We're part of the FDU, we hold ranks in it. We represent it in that sense wherever we go, whether there's official sanction or not.

You clearly are unaware of the relationship I hold with the General. A prod or two don't constitute as anger my friend. Even if his sole use of this public network is most certainly a display to gain some attention from those above him, there is a manner of grudging respect for the man, a feeling no doubt that is one sided.
