Help me find a ship for ratting vs serpentis

I'd like to rat during fleet downtimes, the rats are going to be Serpentis.
I haven't been active for some time so while I can fly a decent Legion, i want to fly something cheaper to get used to nullsec and Eve in general again.
I prefer Turret ships to drone boats (VNI is what most of my corpmates seem to use).
Is the Sacrilege worth it for some anomalies/lower DED complexes? Any Minnie ships worth using?
the Tier 3 Battlecruisers were all the rage when I last played, are they still any good? I can only use t2 lasers though.

There is a reason your corp mate use VNIs/Drone boats. They are some of the best ratting ships you can get for the amount of work you actually have to do. Also, they are less vulnerable to serps sensor damps.

Below is a quick list of the "Best" ratting ships (order can be debated, but their effectiveness cannot be)

- Rattlesnake - Sentry Drones (use navy unless you already have T2) and Cruise Missiles (T1 is fine). The combined ability to tank while fitting max DPS cannot be beat.

- Vindicator - Mostly used for guristas, but it works well for serps. The insane amount of DPS this puts out means you can still shoot serps well even though the resist profile is slightly off.

Ishtar/VNI - Drones out, ECM burst on, pull up netflix (or stay there and manually target drones). Cheaper than the first two.

Machariel - Fast (for a bs), autocannons will shred rats.

Gila - See Ishtar/VNI. Good for lower level anoms.

Naga/Talos/Oracle/Tornado - cheap, good for lower level anoms. The fits need some work, but they can be used if you speed tank. Missile NPCs are the hardest to deal with though.
