EVE Once Again Unstable

After several weeks away and installing the various updates we've now set the Wayback Machine to a year ago where the EVE Mac client is once again unstable and experiencing frequent lockups (at least once per session requiring a Force Quit). It would be funny if it weren't so sad...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Have you tried the Wine wrapper? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6380823#post6380823

I would be curious to know if it helps with your stability issues.

I tried one of the earlier releases that had issues with screen sizes, not being able to access the settings menu and a general performance hit. In addition to somehow also screwing up my non-Wine client settings. I'd be willing to venture another go if most of these are no longer an issue?

This have improved greatly from the first release, so I'd encourage you to try again.

You may want to delete the wineenv folder in the shared cache folder (use Reveal in Finder/Shared Cache from the View menu to find it). This ensures you get a clean wine environment, in case any settings there cause issues from your previous attempt.

Please post any feedback, good or bad here - I can only fix things I know about!

I did, and it seems to be running smoothly so far (fingers crossed). There were a few minor anomalies which I mentioned in your other thread, and I'll let you know if I find anything else. Realistically, what are the chances we might see some graphical enhancements to bring the Mac version on par with the Windows one?

Addendum: Oops, I spoke to soon. Not 2 minutes after posting this it locked up with this error:
"The program exefile.xee has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

And there goes my Golem. FML... Any chance you can fast-track a reimbursement? I don't even know where to file a support request for this anymore as everything appears to have changed.
OopsCry

Since switching to OSX El Capitan and purging Wine I have not had anywhere near as many issues. I'm now running multiple clients and have experienced one crash, so I will try this to see if it helps. Thanks for the tip!
