"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The previous weekly overview can be found here.

The current "This week in EVE" gives an overview of the previous week from April 2 to 8

Dev blogs and announcements
CSV dump of all PVP kills between Mar 1-Apr 4
Since it can be tedious to scrape and stitch together kill mails from the killboards to collect interesting information (especially during war times), we are looking into ways to make this process easier. As a test project we have made available all PVP kills that took place in the period Mar 1 to Apr 4.

Monthly Economic Report - March 2016 - Feedback
CCP Quant has compiled the Monthly Economic Report for March 2016 with all the interesting stats and graphs about the EVE economy. Key indices, regional trade balances and more are all available in overview graphs. For a deeper look you can also analyze the raw numbers on your own.

New Portrait Backgrounds For Citadel and #WorldWarBee
Show your loyalty with a themed background on your character portrait! Two new character portrait background images have been released that can be used to show allegiance to one of the opposing factions of World War Bee. Additionally, we have added an Upwell themed portrait background image to support the upcoming EVE: Citadel expansion. Further info how to access and use those portrait backgrounds can be found in the news item.

World War Bee: The Battle of M-OEE8
The EVE Updates site has been updated with information about the World War Bee, the great conflict of our time which involves tens of thousands of players. Solid facts, fun community created propaganda, The Scope videos and more are all neatly listed and easily accessible. Check it out!

The Great Billboard Propaganda Contest - Results!
Since the announcement of the The Great Billboard Propaganda Contest on March 10, we received player created videos for recruitment and propaganda to be played on in-game billboards. After viewing many entries, some of which were fantastic and some of which were questionable in their nature of content, we've decided on a set of winners who claim the prizes on offer. Congratulations to the winners!

Empires of EVE - by Andrew Groen
The amazing "Empires of EVE - A history of the great wars of EVE Online" by Andrew Groen presents the amazing history of great EVE wars in a compelling history book. As neutral observer, Andrew was able to capture the essence of the great wars while not dropping the details or technical information. Politics, warfare, betrayal ... all the things we love to read about! Check out the book reviews on Amazon and get an impression on your own. This is a truly fascinating book, even for non-EVE players. Thank you, Andrew and all the supporters on Kickstarter! Andrew will be also speaking at Fanfest 2016.

EVE: Citadel expansion on April 27
Wormhole capital escalations and Drifter "boss"
First mentioned on the o7 show, the NPC capital ship escalations in wormholes are going to change. While originally planned to be challenging content, those escalations have turned into pure farming and becoming a major ISK faucet. Now that capital ships are getting a full overhaul, we also change these escalations. A new capital NPC, a very challenging Drifter NPC as end "boss" in wormhole combat sites, is going to be introduced that will appear at the completed combat site and, if not prevented, warp off (and roam the system for many days) if not pinned down in time. Multiple Drifter NPCs can exist in the same system and can support each other. Additional information is available here and here.

Titans changes
With the EVE: Citadel expansion all capital ships will receive a massive overhaul, including Titans. Hitpoints of combat capital ships, such as Titans, will be...

Like alien news from a foreign land. Nothing I can relate to or feel like CCP is doing something for the game I happen to pay for.

I'd like to Call CCP out on calling this World War Bee. That's a pretty tasteless name, imho.

It's their game, we only pay here

Mittens is just mad that he didn't get to name it -maybe he should file a petition

however, i think super/titan pilots should be able to dock and if not dock, then tether and be able to leave the ship without it being stolen -maybe a setting to give access to 2 other pilots (sitters/pvp capsuleer).

bit worried about the npc capitals in anoms screwing things up with vni ratters

Excellent reading. Thank you for your efforts on putting this together.

CCP's sand box is EVE Online.  The sand is owned by CCP.  We pay them a monthly fee to throw the sand at each other.  That is all that is here, so move along. Nothing more to be seen.

How do you calculate whats imported and whats an export?

are ships bought in fitted an import?
How do you account for moon mining / production imports and exports?

Could you also do a subset for pi like total volume produced per region by m3 or by value?

World War Bee is indeed a stupid name for such an important war...

'Goonageddon' would have been much more approriate...

Just saying...
