So i was reading this chronicle and this little bit of text on the end of the story perplexes me ,

The stars seemed cold and uncaring to Jetek, and his fate like a stuttering flame, soon extinguished.

since english is not my first language i have some trouble with it
does this imply that she has him killed ? or am i missing something ?

I think Jetek just had a moment of realising how small and insignificant he is, in the overall scheme of things.
