Bombless hound, need advise

Hello everyone,

I'm a new player and thinking about plying a hound (torpedo) with out bomb launcher, currently I'm station in FW space mainly fighting frigate and destroyer, most of the time i will be in a group of 2 or 3. so i'm wondering bombless hound good or bad idea?

Can't use bombs in lowsec anyway.

Stealth bombers do not have good tanks and are easy to take out with frigates and destroyers. Due to that and the fact that torpedoes don't apply damage well to small ships so I would personally not advise using them against that class of ship.

If this is the case, stealth bomber is not the correct ship to use. Due to the way missile mechanics work, torpedoes are not very effective against small targets as they are designed for killing big ships. There are some niche bomber fits that use rockets, but that is mostly for hunting explorers (read: ships that can't really fight back) solo. If you want something cloaky that can hold it's own in a combat situation your only real choice in the frigate class is the Astero.

Gotta agree with everyone else here, I even have recent experience! I used a Hound to pester a solo/dual gate camp in null sec; a Caracal and Sabre, because it was leftover from a recent 2 person POS bash (I'm insane). Didn't dare engage the Caracal but I can tell you I may as well not been firing on the Sabre, even with TP and his MWD, pretty much was doing no damage. But OP success to get the pilots to leave after enough uncloaking on them.
