I've been trying to log back into eve online to get into the war going on. The launcher was working just fine yesterday day. Now, whenever I try to log in, it doesn't really do anything when I put in the password.

(bring up launcher, enter password, it doesn't log me in, it doesn't say wrong password or authentication failed or anything. It just blinks as if it will log me in but instead goes right back into the log in screen requesting the password)

Its been like this for 3 days and im going crazy.

Maybe try logging in by clicking on the blue square eve-logo file in your EvE game file folder?

Is it still possible to bypass the launcher by running the Eve executable file?

I'm not sure you can, ive tried everything but nothing works, it wont let me play the game, i cant login in no matter what i try.

Once you have finished typing in your password have you tried clicking with the mouse rather than hitting enter? There was a bug a while back that made the Cancel button the default so hitting enter took you backwards.

If this is what I think it is, you should stop using the old launcher and use the new one, if you haven't done so already. Which I assume that's the case, since the new launch has the ability to remember your password for fast logins!

I've been getting that problem as well with the old launcher, which I used to log with alt accounts (too lazy to do it with the new one, despite being more convinient). I put the password and nothing happens. CCP has been phasing out the old launcher as of late and it is getting more finicky with each patch.

I'm not sure why i did not even notice and just go try the new launcher a shame the old one got pushed out.

A little tip when an application does not work.

Uninstall and download new from vendor.

Solves 99% of all issues usually.
