What was your favorite moment from your EVE times? Perhaps it was when you found your first Estamel Spawn or when you managed to win in a 1v3 or when you got your first frigate when you first started.

My favorite was when I bought my first Cruiser (Caracal) When I started playing a while back, loved that thing Big smile

Back when I started my corp used to set some pretty high goals, being a manufacturing corporation usually those goals were to mine a certain level or fill an order within a certain time or whatever. But when we all worked together and met those fairly high goals would be my favorite moment(s) in EVE. Smile

Going on a nullsec frigate roam a year or so ago. It was a real buzz after months of agonising blob/sov warfare, and we got a few fantastic kills. It was just a fun, relaxed atmosphere that we all needed.
Sadly haven't done anything like it since.

The first formal apology I received from a senior GM. P

No the best time would have been my first tactical escape solo in a hurricane:
Enter system on a pipe while being chased by 3 reds, to see 2 reds in local. Check Character Sheet, all reds in same Corp. One red exits local. Think to myself 2 reds in front 3 behind -> I'll go for the two. Land on gate to see a Sabre who promptly drops bubble. Sit on gate for 30 seconds no aggression. Local jumps to 5. No activity on this gate - must be chasers coming in. Jump through. Vagabond on other side. Align to random planet in a cluster. Vagabond points me and starts firing. Change trajectory to keep up transversal. Numerous gate activations. Local climbs to 6. Start reapproaching gate from 26km out. Sabre declocks drops bubble. Change direction to align past gate to celestial on other side. Vagabond attempts bump. Bumps me right past gate out of bubble and disrupt range. Initiate warp. Drop safe. Warp to random celestial. Drop 2nd Safe. Warp 1st safe. talk smack. Warp to 2nd safe. Log off.

I'm not sure I've had that moment yet..

I like it when I find a decent L4 mission area and agents don't give me crap missions.
It's also very cool when I reach a short term goal, like getting to a certain standing with a corp.

Waaahehehehaay back in the day (when everyone talked like a horse and I first started playing eve) I decided I wanted to be a courier. So after some success and a vague idea of how the contract system worked, I found a contract going to a nullsec station, offering 5 mil (which was a lot at the time) with very little collateral. Being dumb, I took it, grabbed my fancy new hoarder and decided "nullsec can't be that bad!".

I actually made it to the system and tried to dock, only to discover that I couldn't - so I safed up and contacted the corp owning the station to let them know that I was here to deliver a package and asked for docking rights. They said I could dock now (and I had no idea how docking rights worked), so I warped over to discover a dessy (cormorant I think) waiting for me. I got lucky with an ecm burst, and warped off to some moon - which had a pos that started targeting me, so I warped to gate to flee like the dickens. Got to the gate right as the local and his buddies landed trying to shoot me, and jumped through as another, bigger and hostile-to-the-locals gang showed up and started blasting them. I made it all the way back to highsec, but I never did deliver that shuttle.

Now I just get that warm fuzzy feeling whenever I find an awesome radar site... maybe I should become a moronic courier again.

tl/dr? Noob hauler went to nullsec, was dumb, survived and felt like a boss.

Two weeks old I went to lowsec and found a battleship in a belt with a 500k bounty. Took 10 minutes to kill with my arbitrator but ooh so sweet it was. I guess it was then i was hooked.

Lost an orca last night because I warped to/went through the wrong WH. Was meaning to close the static to low and closed the C4 (it was ready for my HiC to finish it off).

Of course I had scanner probes on it. So I scanned down its freshly spawned static. Then its. Finally wound up with a C5. Couldn't scan it down.

I said to myself, it will take longer to scan myself out of this mess than buying a new orca. So I did. Ejected from the ship, renamed it "Merry Christmas", and podded myself.

I love podding myself, it reminds me of Soundwaves speech "...and the only way home is through the barrel of your gun."

Very Harry Harrison-esque.

i liked when i would take my freighter ( charon ) on a long hauling run, usually to jita... when i would get there i would be thankful i made it alive :D and examine the beautiful ship in my hanger
unload and sell everything, but new stuff to take bad and do the same thing over again

unfortunately, no more hanger, no more awesome feeling when i dock and see my beautiful ship

For me, it was my first login in the Ammold system, opening the map for the first time, to see just how large one star system in the game was, then to zoom out to the full galaxy map and seeing thousands of stars, waiting for me to explore. I was in awe at the sheer size of eve.

Best for me was about 3 years ago and me and a few mates were roaming low sec looking for some pvp. I was in a cormorant and he a drake i think. I still didnt have a kill to my name, and just sat there floating off a gate was a pod all on its lonesome. I aligned towards a planet, started to move and drop some missiles into it. It was about half hull when i got near enough insta popped by the gate guns.

So, im now in my pod and decided to warp to station, by a shuttle and go back to high sec home system to get another ship.

I warp to station and dock. Quick market check shows a shuttle for 8 888 888 isk, lol i thought, oh well i NEED a ship. So i bought it, undocked and was like 'wtf ? ' BOOM, back in a pod. And you guessed it, GCC and station aggro plus shuttle does not end well.

I learnt a lot that day, i got 2 sec hits, one for combat aggro on the pod, and then another for assisting in a kill, my mate had killed the pod, and so i was about -1.5 without a kill to me name still.

Fun and games :)

Sitting in dodixie, watching two large alliance duke it out outside of the station... one guy went red and i managed to get the sole shot on him before concord popped him. Wasnt much of a kill, but it was my first, and it got me the taste of blood and pvp i still love to this day.

also the guy i killed ended up being a major head in the alliance i was looking to join, they still accepted me, and to this day its one of the best stories i can tell.

that was what feels like years ago, im still flying with that same group today.

About 18 mths ago my corp left a C3 WH and I (on another char) was caught up with RL issues. Logged back in to an empty WH with a Drake and no scanning gear. I had 100m in implants, no insurance and 20m in the bank.

Did a d-scan saw a corpse of someone with their wreck. Thought I was lost completely, was about to self-destruct when I scanned again and the same person was back to salvage their wreck.

I hailed them in local, asked for help. He fleeted and came at me 100km off in a Tengu, warped me to a C5 WH and then warped me to a lowsec exit at 20km off.

At the lowsec exit there was a dude in a Broadsword and I thought I was a deadman. My assist took off and left me there. Knowing the Broadsword could point me at that range I just kept flying at the exit instead of trying to warp away.

I typed "Don't shoot" into local, went through the exit (20km at 160m/s is a long drive!) and docked up at the lowsec station, not able to believe that 2 seperate players in 2 seperate wormholes didn't go for the kill.

Dude in Broadsword then hails me and says "Are you OK?". Thought at the time it was a rather odd question.

Maybe they thought I was absolutely mad? It was a good moment.

When I was 3 months old I bought a rifter, fitted it and set destination to a system out in nullsec at the very edge of the map. (+- 40 jumps)

Off I went. It was my intention to go there dock up and meet the locals. (and maybe get recruited.)

My entrypoint was EC-P8R. I just barely escaped the first camp. After a lot of jumps and gatecamps I arrived at my destination only to find out I could not dock. (I thought the stations in null were the same as in empire and everone could dock.)

Disappointed I made my way back through another route and got popped and podded 2 jumps before reaching highsec.

It was a nice adventure and I encourage all new players to try the same.

I think I have to agree. I haven't been playing even a year when I attended my first Fanfest, and it was a very strange feeling to find myself in Iceland drinking beer with people from my corporation and alliance, none of whom I've ever seen before. I find it pretty hard to describe, actually, but it was a wonderful and amazing experience. Haven't missed a Fanfest since then.

A year back when i was in w-space,

i soloed some sleepers in the connected static C3 we had in our C5, so i was done, comming back, realizing there is sitting a hurricane and a brutix, quick tough, if i jump there are guys waiting 1000000 % so i attacked, and tanked them pretty well in an A-Type fitted legion :-)
shortly after attacking, 4 guys jumped in, Sabre, Drake, Helios, Commandshp. The Helios had tracking disruptors, couse i wasn't able to hit anything.

I tanked them until 20 % armor and jumped out, they followed, attempt to run, pointed, tanked again to 20 % armor, jumped, repeated once again and eh... they can't jump, they have to wait 3 minutes thanks to w-space mechanics :-P

i warped to our POS, and got a "respect to the legion, gf" in local 3 minutes later.
