Reasonable People (RITES) is one of the three ‘main’ corporations that make up the Of Sound Mind (SOUND) alliance and is currently looking for new members. We are looking to recruit players who want to PVP with us in a classy, social environment.

Since 2009, RITES has focused on training new players to the game. While we now consider applicants of any SP level, we take care to maintain the newbie friendly atmosphere we’ve always had. The release of SP injectors has changed the practicality of ‘arbitrary numbers’ for skillpoint requirements or limitations, and encouraged us to look primarily at the player behind the keyboard.

What sets us apart from other groups in the game is our culture. By “culture,” we mean our shared beliefs about what makes an environment welcoming and fun to be a part of, regardless of background, race or gender. We expect our members to know the importance of language: Racial/anti-gay/misogynistic slurs are wrong; “jew” is a noun, not a verb; and “****” describes a horrific act of real life violence, not explosions in internet spaceships.

We also expect our members to constantly be learning and improving. We have a culture of promoting smart play and intelligent choices, and we’ll help you develop as a player. RITES is a tight-knit community that has been through thick and thin in basically every region of space: NPC null, sovereign nullsec, and now wormhole space. Wherever we live, we prioritize the integrity of our culture first and foremost.

Our alliance, SOUND, currently lives together in J+ (“jay-plus”), the super-duper opsec name for our C4 in wormhole space! Our C5 and C2 statics provide rich opportunities for both PVP and PVE at a variety of skillpoint levels, whilst the C2 often aids our logistics with a high sec static. Much of our fun comes from roaming nullsec to look for small gang fights or to dunk on nullbears. Whenever we roll into another decently-large wormhole group, we’ll try to form up and get nice brawl going. We also enjoy spooking around the chain to find people doing silly things that we can shoot at them for. We also have occasional PVE ops (site running, gas huffing, etc.) to help everyone fill up their coffers.

As a member of RITES, you’ll have access to:

• Regular small gang roams to kspace
• Organized/’’on the fly’ wormhole fights, of varying size
• Excellent ‘SRP’ (Ship reimbursement program)
• BPO libraries available in highsec for copying
• A friendly, knowledgeable community via our Teamspeak and IRC (internet relay chat) servers.
• Access to good PVE opportunities in the local area, and training on how to live successfully in wormhole space.

What we’re looking for in recruits:

• Either EU TZ or US TZ (our AUTZ is not highly populated sadly).
• We recruit mains, not alts.
• You can use T2 tanking modules, and have your scanning supports at 3 or higher.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to adapt to our lifestyle in a wormhole.
• Willingness to help scan our wormhole connections to look for content.
• Patient individuals. Eve is a marathon, not a sprint - and there’s lots to do at every stage along the way.
• You share our culture, detailed above, and in our white paper.
• You enjoy PVP as your primary activity. Ideally, you have at least some PVP experience in the past.
• Willing to partake in a trial membership and to share an API key for your account(s) so we can spy on you. :lol:
• Willing to move to where we live, and stay with us. This is currently in a C4 wormhole named J+.
• You are willing to install and sign up for our required third party services. This includes alliance forums, IRC, and our TS3 server.
• Looking to become part of a friendly community and get to know us. The best ship is Friendship.
