I am happy to see this war. Not because Goons are evil.

There has been a talk about no major wars going on for some time. This war is something Eve has needed for some time.

The old guard picked up and left when new Sov system came in place, leaving only the goons Empire who downsized. Smaller Alliances have formed to fill the void breathing life in Nullsec,

I do like that the Imperium plays the role of Bad Guys, as it is the Bad Guys that move the story forward and create the content for the Good guys to consume.

So good luck Goons, I hope you either win or loose by a hair, it will be great marketing material.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

This space reserved for a wall of text in the style of Braveheart speeches with a bit of JFK and some Tony Robbins thrown in.
The aim: to make me feel like an important person, at the center of things.

I like the idea of the Imperium, a player ran Empire is cool.

Lots of people like going after the mittani in the forums and sure if you can't find his pod go after him with words, it's all good.

A big long lasting war in EVE that is open to more players, just not a couple of massive null sec alliances is also very good for content. I don't get why a lot of people seem really disturbed. I hope this is going to give little alliances and corps a chance to get involved in some epic sized battles in null sec instead of just reading about them.

Don't really think which side you join is really going to matter I suspect there is going to be enough pew pew going around for everyone.

Plus it is kind of hard for "Burn Jita" to happen when their null sec home is under invasion.

I hope all the big fights are not over before I can get in on the action, this should be a great content year for EVE and the fact that it is player driven is the best possible way for it to happen.

‘Vain flame burns fast/and its lick is light/Modest flame lasts long/and burns to the bone.’

" We lost a war we chose not to fight." Without a doubt this is the best way to lose any war and the worst excuse to explain the beating afterwards.

I'm thoroughlly enjoying myself. I've always pegged myself as an Empire builder, and part of building an empire is defending it and facing the prospect that it might fall. The whole fun of building up massive walls (in a game anyway) is not in standing on the top on a sunny day and taking in the view, its dodging burning arrows and pouring boiling oil down on the guys scaling them.

As for whether everything changes with our fall or survival, thats pretty debateable.

Outside of our borders, since TiDi and Fozziesov came in, we haven't really extended an influence, beyond the occasional squad deployment - if anything a Imperium without sov will give us more freedom to muck about with other peoples space, not less. And with our space gone, your average roaming gang will have to find somewhere else to find ratting carriers. Finally as for a Supercapital menace, ours has always been a defensive power, not really an offensive one; the big supercapital power is still out there, and if anything they will be freed to impose their will across the map more easily should our supercapital forces be broken up and no longer a possible threat they have to remain wary of.

I fully advocate coming after us to satisfy a vengeance, or exorcise a grudge, I know we thoroughlly deserve it from some (hell, from many) quarters. But coming for us to 'change the galaxy' is not going to produce the best of changes.

I feel I'm far to new to this game to take sides but as a neutral spectator I find the idea of living in the EVE Uinverse in this time of turmoil exciting. I'm also expecting the huge amount of destroyed 'stuff' will do wonders for the Market and that's always a good thing.

Finally the coverage this gets should lead to an influx of players (both old and new) and that must be positive for everyone.

Frankly, it doesn't matter much which side you pick. There is no wrong or right side if you just want to get a piece of this.

Non Imperium: Oh, oh, I hate you I hate you I hate you leave me alone! - yet, I find you strangely attractive.

The Mittani: Of course you do. People that aren't us are often attracted to money, and power, and I have BOTH, and YOU KNOW IT!

Yes please elevate it. We are on the cusp of the possiblity of a new era for New Eden. An era I want to be a part of myself. To forge my own path in it, whatever that path may be.Smile So yes, let us elevate the conversation points a few notches, shall we?
