How do I mute the Scope broadcasts in stations?

And it still won't shut up! It's not that bad with only one character, but I've got five. When they're all sitting in station, I'll have between 1 and 4 "broadcasts" going on at any given time. The only way I've found to stop it is to completely mute the instance, but I don't want to risk forgetting to un-mute it before I undock.

So, seriously. How do I make it stop?

I find the voices in my head soothing.

EVE has sound?

[Does the CQ have sound? I avoid Minmatar stations, because the voice(s) there distract me from Project Discovery.]

If you figure it out please share - annoyed by this as well.

Would be less annoyed if I could mute it or the sound would play if I clicked the screen or something

Add me to the list of interested people. Once or twice it is a nice addition to the game. A few hundreds? I want to kill the newsman.
But I need to keep my "Scope" standing high.

Edit:
Found something at least:
Audio setting -> Inactive client muting -> Station interior

At least that should reduce the chatter to 1 account.

Another command:
Advance audio setting -> station interior -> put to 0

This is a bug that occured at least once before, and back then was fixed soon. Yet this time it hasn't been fixed and CCP says not a word on the matter.

It's kinda annoying and the only solution is to enter the hangar. Also some people claim that the video is being downloaded full (200 Mb) each time it plays; that could be a new bug different from the sound one.

This^

I looked through many of The settings and found nothing to disable the videos. I also seems to kill my GPU if I'm actually watching it as the station is complex enough. Mind you I'm not running a super powerful gaming purpose built computer but still.

One could think there would be a volume control in future TV. One could be wrong.

Also, what happened to changing channel? Or turning it off completely? Shocked
And why the image is transparent and the wall with piping comes thru the image? No one even thought about placing a black rectangle behind it?

I mean, it can be improved in a lot of ways. JUST LIKE YOU WOULD INVENT IT YESTERDAY?

You can change the channel if you want to. You can add whatever videos you like to the queue so if you add enough or long enough ones you'll never see the Scope videos. They had a dev blog a few years ago about it. It's pretty easy to do.

What makes it even more annoying is that he sounds a bit like Threedog from Fallout 3.

Hey, its not changing channel like you would have different folders with channel names and cycle thru them. If you add a lot of videos, you just have to manually remove and add different videos every time. I know it was not the idea behind the whole TV. But it should. How hard is that? If we sit on a couch, why not have a pilot on the table that do things? Like the two other things that are there. SO MUCH IMPROVEMENT, of a thing that nobody uses?

SIMPLE things:
Background of the screen, a black rectangular object.
Pilot on the table with a function of mute, turn off, changing channel (cycle folders).

SO HARD, NOBODY CARES, NOBODY CAN DO IT?

If you check my screenshot in the OP, you'll note that I've already done both of those things. Nope.

Strange, for me it worked

Edit: you need to do that with all accounts, but I suppose you already did it.

There's Scope broadcasts in station? I've never heard them, just the ambient unintelligible background noise.

It's a strange button people sometimes accidentally press when trying to switch between their CQ and ship spinning. It starts flashing if you click it but If you click it again it stops.

It worked for me, BUT only after I enter the ship hanger, then exit back into the CQ. Every time I log into the CQ, it continues to broadcast until I do that, but afterwards I don't hear it again until I log back in.

Ya, I avoid it in fear of it sucking all the air out of the hangar and messing my hair.

Same, I haven't disabled anything and it's automatically muted for me, no idea how to turn it on.

Although after reading this thread, I'm not sure if I want to know how.
