General Discussion is not how you join a Corp.

In game, search CODE.

There you will find a list of 10 member Corps (according to eve-who)

Select one and apply.

I might add, the CODE. guys are pretty switched on. You aren't doing so good on that front right now. Good luck though.

FYI if you travel from the system jita to the system amarr you will likely see them flashing red in local, probably in uedama.

I think you mean Niarja. You will see them blinking there for sure on this route. Pretty sure local Uedema and Local Niarja are their recruitment channels.

(Does this count as trolling a new player? There isn't a sarcasm font.)

Someone was picking off their Mobile Depots last night in Sivala. I think Tigh is onto something. They don't look like they are the powerhouse in Uedama they used to be. Lots of fuss going on in Ikao that I'm seeing whenever I trapse through those areas.

Again, that's just traveler observation, I am politically deaf because I don't keep Reddit feeds going to my phone.

Some of the best pizza in the world is under a bridge. Grimaldi's in Brooklyn. Probably too far off topic for a Post with this title though, huh.

No not trolling, plenty of newbros are bloodthirsty from the get go and code. Isn't a bad spot to start, they know all the other pvp entities in highsec so even if he doesn't jell with the ganking lifestyle he will get pointed in the direction of a group he might enjoy flying with.

Lots of inbreeding between the hs mercs.

Edit: Ganking damn it! smart phone thought Franking was a thing ... probably should be but i digress.

Code are a bunch of useless pvp'ers who only engage targets who cant defend themselves. They cry so hard in local when they get owned. Apparently I'm on their gank list. Well bring it, hopefully you can make a dent this time. I doubt it. But then again, you can always cry in local as per usual.

Now talk all that trash with your main. Roll

But yeah some of them certainly get salty when beaten at their own game.

Love em or loathe em, even their mention beings fourth sperging torrents of vitriol so that's Gota be worth something.

They have presence and only a handful of groups in highsec manage that.
So again , good place to jump off from.

Pretty much everybody cries in local at one time or another, although some tears are saltier than others Twisted

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

CODE are a great bunch. Seek ye the MinerBumping website, wherein you will find the password to their in-game channel. You don't have to be a member to join them on fleets, as some fleets are at least semi-public. Those fleets are literally why I kept playing this game in the latter half of 2014.

Anyone who allows themselves to be a target is on their list. It's not an exclusive list by any means.

You guys are soooo CUTE!

First off, anyone can fly how they want, complain, gripe, moan, celebrate, party or do whatever in EVE, play how you like, talk garbage how you want. It's all EVE and there is no 'right' way to play it other than what's fun for you. Okay, 'nuff said there.

----WARNING: WALL OF TEXT----

Next, I need to clear up something I've been thinking and have posted on before, but I think it's a change in how to look on what is called 'PvE' in EVE which is not the same as PvE in other MMO's.

So, let's walk through this clearly; what I've learned so far about EVE is-

A. It's ALL PvP, there is no real PvE as other MMO's have. (CCP Falcon)

B. PvE in EVE is generally referred to as the resource gathering/industry/research PvP side of the game, not ship to ship PvP.

C. PvP in EVE is generally referred to as the end gate economy of the game, Ship to Ship combat.

Okay, so by those generalizations shown above, the language of the PvP'ers vs. the PvE'ers has been established and bantered about for years in this game.

I think it's got one part that is incorrect. The hint of that are comments like CODE is a bunch of weak PvP'ers because they attack helpless players (Carebears, whatever).

It doesn't matter how true the statement is, the fact that it exists shows a problem with the language.

I've called this activity 'Poaching' because it really resembles the activity of what it is. The HiSec 'Wildlife Refuge' boundaries are defined with rules enforced. Poachers have figured out how to use those rules to their advantage, have one make a kill then get punished by the Park Rangers while their buddies go devour the corpse. Another method was/is to bribe the Rangers to look the other way and go have a party which frequently drives the targeted wildlife into hiding. That's just my view of the subject but I'll keep using the term.

So, my point here is that Poaching is NOT a PvP activity, it's an EVE PvE activity.

My justification is this. It's actually just mining. It's replacing asteroids with players ships. Those PvE ships are of no actual threat to a PvP ship. Just like the hunter claims a charging Rhino or Elephant is a huge danger... not really when you have the proper gun and skills to take it down. It's only a danger to the uneducated 'poacher'. The only real danger here is if the Elephant gets reincarnated as another hunter... then the poacher has a problem but this is very rare on the refuge.

So what CODE is doing is really PvE and giving them the respect of a PvP tag should be insulting to other PvP'ers that indulge in risky fights.

Yes, they dress it up in pseudo religious mafia clothing, but just like the mafia, their primary prey isn't the other mafias, it's the average person.

I'm not asking anything to change here other than a perception that somehow, just because one player starship is shooting at another player starship it is EVE PvP. If that ship has no chance of seriously fighting back, it's no better than an asteroid, thus resource gathering EVE PvE.

So, if you redefine PvP Ship to Ship combat as containing some significant element of risk, then suddenly, you discover that most of what goes on in EVE is actually lower risk PvE... even in LoSec and NullSec. Many of you macho PvP'ers like unfair fights, because of the low risk involved. Don't take it as an insult, even Manfred Von Richtofen said he didn't like fair fights, they were foolish, as did Sun Tsu and Miyamoto Musashi. What is should change... maybe, is how the insults to the Carebears are done. They are just as 'risk averse' as most other players in the game. They just prefer to create rather than destroy.

Something to think about. I reserve the right to be entirely wrong and corrected by everyone else. Slap away.

To be honest most of us don't give a toss about them. Just another gank group.
