Hello, My name is Lumpynurse, I am the CEO of 30plus corporation, a corp that is part of the 30plus gaming clan, I have been a member of 30plus for 15 years now, with eve being the latest game for me to play.

I founded this corp because EVE has the greatest players in any game i have ever played, and these are the people that keep me going year after year. In real life, I am a Emergency Room nurse, I live a serious life, and I game to escape that. We are the corp that embraces failure. We are the players that lost the 5 bil ishtar... ratting. These are the kind of players we want, those that play to have fun and don't care what the killboard says! We don't care what other corp/alliances or players think of us, we know who and what we are. I've known players that have joined us after a bad loss. A loss that got them kicked for paying attention to something other than EVE. I never completely understood it. This was a long long time ago in a universe very close to us. So, I had a dream, a dream of a corp where players could mine! YES MINE! Mine AND rat! And have mining parties!! Just... just have a good time! And not give a **** about neuts! Hell! Why not MINE IN A TITAN!!! Because when we lose that pixel Titan, life goes on. And on and on...

Well... a few months ago this dream became within reach, but then something in real life happened to me that adjusted my thinking of how to get my titan blown up. One night I was caring for a young woman with breast cancer, she had 2 children aged 8 and 12 and she was begging me not to let her die. She was deteriorating quickly and she asked to use the phone, she did not want her children to see her in the hospital, but she knew she was in trouble and she made the call to say good bye. I have been a ER nurse for 15 years, and this was by far the toughest situation i have ever seen. There was not a dry eye in the department, and a couple of hours later she died.

One of my corp mates came up with the idea to raise money for a charity to help fight this horrible disease and i jumped in with both feet. We are using the american cancer web site for the donations so you know that it all goes to them without any doubt. Help us live out my dream of mining veldspar in low sec in a Titan, then come help blow it up while helping the world fight cancer. We are not embarrassed and in fact enjoy it when our players lose shiny ships. What better way for EVE to express that than by helping us with cancer research in real life, and killing a mining Titan and a bunch of carriers filled with all sorts of shiny loot!!

Our target is $30,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society. We will announce a system and and a weekend date for this event within one month of this post going up in the EVE forums. The event will take place within one month and ten days of the this post no matter how much we raise.

We would like to thank EVEBET for their donation of two carriers that will be destroyed alongside the Titan. At this point we have the Titan and 6 carriers along with goodies in the fits and cargo holds that will all be given to the cause!
