You know what would be cool?

If we could have Ringworlds and Dyson Spheres.



Now when you think "Ringworld" you may be thinking "Halo" but the Halo is actually miniscule compared to the ring worlds from the Larry Niven novels. How big are they? They are so big that the Ring World from the novels had a complete map of earth in full scale as a small collection of islands.

In the first novel they run the math on what it would take to build such a thing and they came up with "the mass of Jupiter" (though I have not read the novel since 1989 so memory could be failing here).

A Dyson Sphere is something else entirely. Absolutely stupendous in concept.

Will Eve Online ever see such things?

I would not put is past them.
