0 space or Wormhole space for a solo player when it comes to scanning sites

this'll be the last question I will ask as I'm starting to see people are getting irritated

Why set boundaries on yourself? Take it all! Big smile

Only difference IMO is you got the local chat safety net in null. You know the second you're not alone.

I don't think anyone is getting irritated. If they are it is their problem not yours. No one is forcing them to come here and answer questions. You can ask all the questions that you like here that is what this section of the forums is all about.

If I see new players posting questions that come from a perspective that I used to have when I was new and came to understand as being flawed with experience, then I try to correct the perspective rather than answer the question that they ask. Also if a new player asks a specific question but I know that they will have many similar questions as they go, rather than answer that one question I try and show them how to find the answer themselves.

So in that theme, I don't know the exact answer to the question as to which is more profitable and I think that there is likely enough of a variation based on where you are starting from in space and playstyle likely works into this a bit. What I am saying is I doubt there is an objective answer to this question.

However there is a community that has risen up around exploration. If you do some reading up on signal cartel or Eve scout you can find out more. Signal cartel is a corp of explorers that avoid PvP. You don't have to join them there are public channels that you can join but looking into them might be a good spot to start if you want to get deep into exploration. I myself don't know any of the public chat channels. I just have been told that they exist. So if you get involved in the exploration community you will have access to more players with this specific experience.

Ask questions. It's how you get better.

Profit is a derived value though, so it's not that simple. Potentially wh space is more profitable. But circumstances can make nullsec or even hs more profitable. It's not profit until your goods are actually sold and the isk is in your wallet, and that income needs to exceed your costs in lost ships etc. There are explorers that specialize in HS and blitz sites quickly and make billions a week because they are able to beat the competition and because thier losses are minimal.

In dangerous space, your profitability is not only a matter of competition as in HS, but a matter of mitigating your losses. Your ability to always fly within your means, GTFO skills, PVP skills-- if you explore to take someone else's loot--site scanning and clearing speed, and how safely you can move all your goods to market all affect your profitability.

The important thing to remember is that it's not a race. What matters is playing within your comfort zone and making a profit. Two birds in a bush is not worth one in hand. It doesn't matter if WH could be more profitable if you go there and lose more ships than you can afford.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Also give some thought to joining a nullsec corporation. Exploration is a lot safer in blue space with an intel channel to warn you when enemies are close. You also have the advantage of iHub upgrades that spawn more exploration sites, stations where you can dock and corporate jump freighter service to take your loot to market. A lot of nullsec corporations are recruiting *snip* No Recruiting in New Citizens please. *Snip* ISD Max Trix

Do you have an example (system name) where such an upgrade is installed? I never ever seen a single of those upgrades used ... Cry

I'm my own NPC alt.
