Gurista event is rather underwhelming.

So you jump 20-30 jump to find empty gurista site.

then you warp in and start shooting ships which have no wrecks or loot.

only last ship drops anything at all.

then when you are close to finishing the site someone else warp in, ninja the only ship which drops loot and warps away.

In the event you actually managed to get the loot from my experience (3 times so far) it's exact same thing which worth maybe 15 million. not really worth the effort.

Other then that it was rather disappointing to see the community behavior during this event.

Mostly each site I've warped to and was occupied I was asked to leave, no one wanted to fleet up.
when someone jumped into my site which I've started alone.. again no one wanted to fleet up.

Even not chatting on local.. like weird drones floating around.

It's not like they tried to PVP against me or something pure ratting in the site and nothing.
it's really diminishing the mmo aspect.

Find the right spot. I tested them for roughly an hour and half and managed to run 7 sites, of which 2 were shared and others got the drop -nothing fancy though.

My suggestion is to look for backwater highsec systems, unlike Frostline the Hunt sites apparently don't react to player population so they spawn even in deserted sytems.

Here is your problem. Geckos and extractors are in Transportation facilities (3 times more defended), not in detention facilities

but low and null are boring ass places with nearly no one in them.

unless I'm traveling to FWville I can literally jump over 40-50 systems without seeing a single soul.
It's mmo I don't want to play alone without other players.

I'm confused.. You already complained that people steal you loot, and that apparently to many people are running the sites in highsec. Still you refuse to go where there are plenty of sites (null, ls, whs) because "low and null are boring places". Get out of your comfort zone - you might enjoy it!

Personally I really enjoy these events and think they are a great addition to the game.

unless the name did not make it obvious it's an alt.

and I didn't complain about ninja looting I complained it was damn ass boring no one want to fleet up and that there are only 2 types of sites with no variety what so ever.

Oh look another whine thread about optional content.

Ive run about 20 sites roughly. Some in null, most in low.

From my experience, dont run the null sites, they drop less than detention centers in low. Not to mention, null doesnt have transportation sites (which is where you find the good drops).

Currently though, ive got about 500-750m in loot. Ive got multiple skins (including a moa valkyrie skin), a few geckos, worm bpc as well as a **** ton of high end pirate ammo. Not to mention enough quafe for nano ships to last a month.

Im liking these better than frostline, and are fairly quick to run and even the bounties are decent.

Im running them with a vanilla drake and clearing them in 10min or so. Stop trying to run them in HS and actually grow a pair and venture into LS. You will be much more profitable. Just keep an eye on dscan.

It all depends on where you go, I think.

Compared to previous events, these beacons and sites are more frequent. The loot is pretty cool; we're supposed to save those TEBS chips I think for something for Valkyrie, which sounds interesting.

Although if you're having issues with getting sites or drops, try going to less-traveled areas or systems.

I like the idea of having the very last ship drop the loot. My Hurricane can survive the sites, but it's a struggle, so I upped my game to the Vindicator I used during incursions. Definitely a better choice. :P

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

I actually scored pretty big doing the High Sector Detention Sites.

- 1 Gila BPC
- tons of ammo
- tons of Moa and Bantam Skins
- tons of Quafe
- 52 TEBS + 21 bought from the market for a total of 73 TEBS. (only nicked a TEB from one site)
- got to hear High Sector music again

- Not to mention around 30 million in loot from a Nightmare who got butthurt and destroyed the cargo can after I dropped the BC. Concord was good to me as well.

My strategy was simple. Set a destination of about 10 systems and then way point the original starting system and then troll up and down the route. When the route was fished out I simply made a new route and repeated.

Do them in low if you're running them for profit. Anywhere else is for funzies.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I was underwhelmed. The big reward of top 20 names being listed somewhere, is not as compelling as the top 20 getting a rare item, (the top 20 getting Caldari Navy Ravens or "confiscated" Rattlesnakes would have been interesting) and the price traders were willing to pay for the TEBS reflected that. Valuations followed a bell curve during the event, declining toward the end.

The race for Research Components was lively to the last hour, the reward being an extremely rare "day one" max researched Citadel BPC. Values held up better during this event.

The Blood Raider event was very popular because the (not guaranteed, but not impossible) reward of a 24h Cerebral Accelerator conveyed an interesting and useful benefit.

I think ship SKINs given in these events should be exclusive but 30 day versions. The permanent ones become too common and just sit in hanger inventories.

CCP please keep these events coming: they provide a more compelling reason to undock and possibly interact with other players in space, than the "tribute" rewards scheme I heard about some time ago.
