The MD investor phonebook

Disclaimer: this product does not assess bond offers, it only ranks people that have acted as investors. A bond offering can end in a default regardless of who invests in it.

When you see a bond offering with some investors already in it, would you like to know if these other investors are genuine people, or mere sock puppets? We can never know for sure. But the goal of this phone book is to help you make an evaluation.

How did I approach this delicate subject? I have categorised MD investors based on their merits as investors. This was done by counting NOT how many bonds they have particapated in per se, but only bonds where business was ALSO conducted with other reputable investors, adding a layer of confirmation to the investment. My apologies to genuine investors that are not included due to the methodology.
For details of method, look to post #3.

After having finished the work, it seems regrettably inadequate. There are just not enough investment interactions out there to give a precise enough picture. But here goes.

Methodology
The “counts” for a person consists in the number of times he has participated in a bond where a ranked investor also participated. He then becomes a ranked (Class D) investor himself. This goes for uncollateralised bonds and similar.
Private 1:1 bonds or loans do not count, neither collateralised nor otherwise.
However, loans that involved known third parties Chribba, Grendell, Elixabeth Norn, RAW23 count even if there was only 1 investor.
Only succesfully completed bonds count, except when third parties were involved to handle the aftermath.
The amount invested is not considered.
I needed a starting group of Class D ranked investors: for this I chose the 100+ people that have invested in myself over time.
I needed a starting point in time: for this I chose (bonds that ended after) January 1, 2013.
The currently displayed phonebook contains the data starting from 2013, but only list persons that have made an investment in bonds that ended in 2014 or 2015.

Beware: the phonebook can be manipulated by mixing up your alts with reputed investors during a series of bonds. This has happened: I manually removed 2 of Wafflehead’s investors. She had a long series of bonds, and such a strategy will rig the phonebook. If you know of similar cases since 2013, let me know.

Good to see my thread got something to happen :) Just sucks that I won't make this list due to me doing private loans.

Mail me if you'd like some marketing advice or advice in general

Honestly, no changes there. But come on, if I transfer only £10,000 to release funds I'll get a share of £25m. Seems like a no-brainer to me. I'm sure he'll get back to me some time soon.

WoW, think I have brought 4-5 people into the MD Community who have not walked away and scammed, have had 10 to almost 500bil isk in public isk and never scammed.

What does it take to move up from Class D ?

This is only data from 2013 to 2015. The list will grow exponentially with players that are no longer active when older data are used.

I did however manage to lose some information with the way I collected it, which is regrettable. Hard to explain.
I may add 2010-2012 for players that are already on the list.

Ah, that explains why I'm not seeing my name there, though I even invested with you.Smile

But after having been "a part" of every major scam/failure going at that time (EVEBank, T4U, cosmoray), I stop investing altogether. Big smile Seems I am pretty bad at judging people's honesty/reliability.

Like this Idea a LOT..

Would like to suggest maybe something like proper MD blue Book project?

Something we could maybe host where appropriate?

I would like a copy of something like that for the lounge website if you ever considered spearheading something like that..

Might also contain things like 3rd parties, and auditors etc?

I'd like to help as an interested 3rd party if this goes forward.
