okay well life is too short for this ****

you (CCP) might want to make a fairly visible announcement when you decide to actually acknowledge this issue and believe it may be resolved

because im personally not even going to torment myself trying to play eve anymore until this is resolved and without an announcement ill have no idea to start playing eve again~

bye

I can't understand why CCP won't address this.

I have ruled out issues on my end.

I think my 60Mb/s should be able to handle eve.

My streaming porn is flawless!!!

Since the issue exists for quite a while now (see here and here), CCP is probably incapable of solving the issue and rather decided to ignore it. The integration of the new Brainbox-feature probably ****** something up, but figuring out, would be :effort: - making skins is much more profitable.

Having said that the issue exists for month now, the amount of disconnects got a lot highter the last few days. From 1-3 times a day to one every 1-2 hour.

One thing I have noticed using wireshark is that when the DNS changes, the socket closes.

I started playing on tranquility.servers.eveonline.com, and everything was fine, My cable modem updates DNS, and the resolver changed (SAME IP) from Tranquility.servers.eveonline.com to crest-tq.eveonline.com, Socket closed.

Logged back in, got the IP resolved for crest-tq.eveonline.com, then played for about 20-30 minutes, and lost connection. When I looked at wireshark, the hostname had changed from crest-tq.eveonline.com to srv200-g.ccp.cc (Again Same IP, different resolver name). Reconnected, no issues.

Played for another 20-30 minutes, Socket closed, again I looked at the Wireshark information and the hostname has changed from srv200-g.ccp.cc to tranquility.servers.eveonline.com.

It seems to be that for some reason, the DNS is resolving different hostnames for the same IP (87.237.38.200).

Is there a reason that this is happening? Should I stop my cable modem from resolving these three hostnames and just make them static in my hosts.etc file?

As it is, I can't even run missions PvE successfully without worrying about losing ships due to the disconnections. Makes me regret signing my two accounts back up for 3 months each when all I can do is log in and watch my skills progress.

Had this problem for quite sometime BUT I did get it fixed. I took a shot at using BattlePing playing 2 accounts and since using it I haven't had this not even once. No issues at all. To whom ever has this issue, maybe try what I did.

Run exefile.exe as an admin then throw on BattlePing bu make sure you have the "Game detected" or it won't work out.

Hope it works out,
Good Luck!
