Steam Players Struggling to Connect to Singularity

If you're like me and you are still unable to connect to Singularity there is no easy way to do so any more as the newer updates broke the old launcher method to connect through use of your steam credentials. However! All hope is not lost, there are some steps you can take while you wait for someone from CCP to help.

1 - Since the old launcher method of launching through steam to connect to the test server now just gives an unresponsive launcher for infinite time (I have left it attempting to connect for several hours multiple times while the server was up), update yourself to the new launcher by verifying your games cache.

2 - Open steam and right click on "EVE Online" in your list of games in your library and select "Properties".

3 - Under the general tab click "Set Launch Options" and type the following line:
-p sisi

Your landing page is now set to Singularity HOWEVER logging in with your steam credentials is broken on the new launcher as well but as it is officially supported by the developers it is much more likely to be fixed than the old launcher. You now have two options:

4a - Wait until CCP fixes the launcher in relation to logging in with steam credentials or refer to step 4b.

4b - Click the "EVE Universe" link in the top right of the page, select "Account Management" from the options. Log in, select "Account" and from this drop down menu select the option to "Add an eve username and password". This will allow you to choose a username and password for your account that previously only was able to launch through the use of Steam credentials. From here you can now wait until Singularity gets a new mirror, or refer to step 4a.

Update. After doing all this I decided to do a fresh install and reinstalled the old launcher in one final attempt and can access singularity through that. I recommend people trying this as a last ditch effort :)

Stoked to finally test the new carrier changes before I go ahead and get one on TQ

There's a very easy way to get on SISI, just follow the instructions here:

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203523662-Setting-an-account-name-for-Accounts-created-through-STEAM

which will create an actual User Name and password for your STEAM account. Once you do that, you can log into both Tranq and SISI using the newly created account. And yes, you can still buy PLEX and pay for your sub through STEAM. I'm currently paying for my sub this way. This option has been around since last August, but most people don't know about it.

EDIT: To make things even easier, use the new launcher. Which you can opt into through STEAM. The new launcher doesn't require two installs (one for Tranq and one for SIS) since it shares resources. You can switch between the two servers using a drop down menu. This also has the added bonus of never having to deal with "token validation" issues again.
