The Ability To Remove Un-Wanted Skills

Hey Fellow Pilots, Bear

With the recent implementation of Skill Point Injectors / Extractors, I have noticed that the skills that have been fully extracted from are showing as Level 0 (Obviously).

As an unfortunate pilot suffering from OCD, this slightly (well... greatly) bugs me when I open my character skill sheet. I have extracted the SP from the skills such as mining and refining etc as I have no interest in that aspect of the game and never will do.

Will CCP consider the option to delete unwanted skills from a characters sheet?

I know there will be people mentioning "consequences etc etc" but skills such as 'Mining' are automatically given to characters and are not given the choice like they were back in the day (2004) when you could choose your lineage and focus solely on a combat character or trade character and so on.

Does anyone else feel the same as I?

Please CCPlease <3

Much love, Ekko o7

Well I think they did not want to that since it means if you for some reason want to have those skills again, you have to buy the skill books.

Cannibal Kane was my Test Character.

That would not be an issue for most as far as i'm aware as all skill books (including mining) are available from most highsec NPC stations?

Obviously if you delete a Titan Skill book then that would be expensive to replace but at your own fault. For other skills such as mining and refining etc, these skills are worth mere thousands of isk rather than millions.

This has been discussed previously. To my knowledge the official response was that the support team did not want to be inundated with tickets along the lines of "I accidentally deleted my skillbook, can you fix it CCPls?".

Just have it so it costs 20% of the book price to extract it and it gives you a copy of the book. That way if you do it by mistake you can just reinject it and people won't be keep to use it to safely transport expensive skillbooks by injecting/extracting them.

I like that idea!

Would solve the issue of 'accidentally' deleting skills!

Make it cost 500 AUR because at the end of the day, it's just cosmetic.

What if I told you a secret: that toggle is already in the game.

Does it remove skills that you have injected but not trained to level 1 OR just skills that have never been injected and are untrainable?

Someone without OCD would ask you, why completely remove the skill making me (or anyone for that matter) have to purchase the book again? That is of course for some odd reason I would like to train this again.

You wouldn't 'have' to remove the skill, but it would be nice to have the option if you so wish. It's more of a 'keeping things nice, neat and tidy' sort of OCD Blink

It does not look any different from 'I accidentally thrashed my ship' which works once for account (at least i got this note from GM when i created such report back in 2010 i think).

At least this can be implemented like deletion of chars on account.
