I've just reinstalled Windows 7 after upgrading my computer and there is a windows fucntion I can't find in control panel now.
It's the thingy that allows you to move a gameclient window out of field of view topside, so I don't have to have the EVE client border window on top, but rather move the window so the top border is out of view.

This was a well hidden little bastard function a previous corpmember guided me to like 2 years ago. And now I can't find the bloody thing, so I can move the window borders of games (EVE and other games) out of sight.

Any help appreciated, I've tried computer support forums but nobody knows where to turn it on. But I figured EVE players who play with multiple toons must know, and must use it.

Help me Oh Big One, you're my only hope Lol

Are you trying to describe how when you attempt to move the window border out of view Win7 attempts to fullscreen the window?

Yeah.....um....I can't remember where that setting is either. You should google search it. Or, just use "fixed screen" mode in the windows client. It offers better performance and no border.

Don't ban me, bro!

It's a setting in the EvE client. Full Screen Window Mode...only other game I have ever seen get this right is Star Wars The Old Republic. You shouldn't have to move anything to hide the window borders...EvE does this on it's own.

I'm not looking for the EVE spesific thing. There is a well hidden option in CP that will allow you to pull ANY windowed game to have its window dragged outside the TOP of the screen. I had it activated on my last WIN 7 installation ( I remember it was very well hidden in submenus in CP) , now I can't find it.

It was called something like "Allow offscreen borders", but no luck on google searching. I only get hits about moving offscreen windows back in view.

Star Trek Online has it too (it goes f2p in five days too!).

This made me laugh, all those people paying money to get lifetime subs when it first came out are going to be annoyed. I had a friend who did that. I wondered how long it would last as everyone got bored Lol

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

In the esc-menu where you have the option between fullscreen or windowed mode, there is a 3'rd option in the windows client called "Fixed window". Chose that and set the resolution to match your screen.

What you then get is a windowed eve client without borders. It looks like it's running in full screen, but it behaves like it's windowed (as you can alt-tab and have other windows infront of the client without it minimizing (wich is so annoying when running full screen)
