The March release has been deployed on March 9th during an extended downtime. Please use this thread for general discussion and to report issues with the release on the Mac.

This release brings a whole host of changes to New Eden, including increased Drifter activity in Drifter wormhole systems, along with new boosters, more module tiericide and tweaks to ECM and ECCM, changes to the watch list system, the introduction of Project Discovery, user interface and camera improvements, new skills in preparation for the release of Citadels and new Stasis Grappler modules.

You actually fixed the dealbreaking stargate-jump-lagging sonofabitch bug??

Client behaves different today. It's loading asynchonously; jump delay is gone.
(crossing my fingers for now cause I still can't believe it's really gone, but ... This patch is absolutely astonishing. So much "general" stuff to love, and now even the Mac client works too? I LOVE YOU GUYSSSSSS!)




Oh yea baby. Just went over the logs. Errors gone man. Gone. Please convey my personal gratitude to the programmer who did that. It's awesome.

i'm using a macbook pro with OS X 10.11.3 with 2 accounts running

per prior issues, have created a copy of the client and change the info.plist file each time the 2nd copy's launcher is loaded.
because the crash issue using 1 launcher hasn't been corrected.


since the march release, both clients are freezing with impunity.
usually when entering warp or after jumping a gate.
the second (alt account) will freeze first. generally 4 to 6 times before this account does the same.
the freezes alternate between accounts - so 1 account runs ok for a short time.
sometimes one of the clients will crash.

error message as follows:

i've also noticed fps will drop below 1 before/after jumping a gate.
normally both clients will run around 60 fps.

have filed a bug report 3 days ago without response.

One thing I've just done, which has worked, is switch to the Wine wrapper under EVE preferences. That fixed it. It seems to be a bug problem with the Cider wrapper and the new March release.

I am having two issues.

The first is, as some have mentioned, where my game freezes when running two clients. This happened less after I turned my graphics settings down but is still a problem. Also, if I quit one client with another client open, the second client will freeze.

If the client freezes while I am looking at the game, I cannot alt-tab out and have to restart my computer. If I am alt-tabbed out when the client freezes, the OS X dock will temporarily vanish and I can force quit the game. If I try to look at EVE after the client freezes though, I get either a white or black screen and have to restart the computer.

The second issue is that I will have an extra icon for EVE appear in the dock sometimes whether I am running 1 or 2 clients. Clicking on this icon or attempting to alt-tab into it doesn't do anything.

I am on a 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15 inch, running OS X 10.11.3.

Launch the Eve client. In the top left corner of your screen go to Eve Launcher>Preferences then change your wrapper from cider to wine. Then, close it down and relaunch the eve launcher.

It'l download all these new WINE files. Wait until that's done. Then it'll tell you to relaunch i think. redo that and then you're ready to play.

If it doesn't work, go back to and switch back to Cider.

The preferences for the launcher on Mac are in the menu bar, where you'd expect to find them in a Mac application.

Start the launcher, click EVE Launcher up on the menu bar, select Preferences...

You can also use Command , (comma) with the launcher window active.

ok - found it after i downloaded the new version of the launcher.
apparently i was using a different version.

Launcher Starts ... hit start shows the full screen and loading and than ... nothing, black screen and I only see the arrow ... tried it on two macbooks same thing ... it doesn't launch ... I CAN'T PLAY!
