What ship are you using to run these? I saw Johnny Pew was using a Cerberus on sisi.

The 3 waves of cruisers in the 2nd pocket doing Thermal damage take a while to grind. The BC spawn at the end is trivial after getting through the cruisers.

I haven't come across one of the low-sec variety yet.

My HAM Tengu appears to be the fastest and at no risk to warp out. Tried my exploration Stratios, but the incoming damage was a tad too fierce. Just pulled my Domi out of mothballs and ran a couple after some modifications; ok, but Tengu is far easier to do. The Cruiser AI will switch targets every wave, usually at least 3 or four times if you use drones. Usually after the first cruiser in the wave gets dropped, they will switch to drones (if you are using any other weapon system/agro). Ran into numerous Gilas running the sites and even a Rattlesnake was making the ponderous turn into the acceleration gate for the second room. I felt best with my damage being over 700/second; any lower and you can do it, but it takes way too long. Noticed that some site runners in high sec are fitting webs and a point to catch an occasional ninja cargo stealer. I imagine that low sec is a hunter's paradise with these; like waiting at feeding stations for the prey to show up.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

My reason for running the cloaky setup. Funny though, I tried one in my lml jackdaw, just fine in the transport plex but warped in on by a tengu. Other than that I've ran a dozen or so without a hitch(in my strat).

Turns out an Ishtar with heavies works very well.

My guess is that CCP designed the 2nd pocket to take long enough for plenty of players to join the party.

Yeah but what are you supposed to do with them? put them in hangars? contract them somewhere? turn them into NPC's somewhere?

I've found a Hawk works well for Lowsec and going to try a Harpy after work. The combination of speed, signature radius and fitting for thermal resist means you take very little damage and scourge fury rockets chew through the ships pretty quick. It is worth hunting down the transportation sites. There are more rats in there than the detention sites but they have much lower resists (scourge rage rockets apply double the damage to cruisers in the transport site to cruisers in the detention sites) and they use hybrids so do even less damage due to tracking.

The final rat in the transportation sites is a battleship and will ECM you so bring some ECCM (sebo).

It will take longer in the Assault Frigate than many other ships but most players hunting in Lowsec won't bother trying to pop a cheap Assault Frigate and it's easy enough to warp out if they come in after you. Also a cheap ship to replace if you do lose one.

Edit: Harpy works very nicely too and has an amazing tank. Had an MASB and never had to use it once. Turns out it is more than capable of handling ships trying to jump you in Lowsec too.

I had a rattlesnake bpc drop in a 1.0 hi sec system today from the detention site Cool

I'm using cerb with ham's & tp, seems to get through the cruisers in a reasonable time & I tried a passive fit caracal in the low sec transport sites but it was fit with rlml and with the reload time it was just incredibly slow, but tanked the site just fine.

Yeah. I had used either armor Ishtars or passive shield Gilas for the Blood Raider Gauntlets at Halloween and the Operation Frostline sites at Christmas, but both the Ishtars and Gilas didn't work well for the first few GDFs I tried back on Friday...

So I hopped into the Hamgu I trained into back in December. I'm in a Nightmare/Paladin jump clone, so no missile implants... and my missile supports are mostly at L4. But t2 Hams (spec at L3), all Tengu subsystems to 5 and it takes about:
* ~2 minutes for warp in, 3 waves of frigs (with cal navy scourge HAMs), take gate...
* ~8 minutes for 3 waves of cruisers + BC (scourge rage HAMs for entire 2nd room, does more damage due to Tengu kinetic bonus than scourge inferno HAMs)... 2.2 second cycle time, have to reload scourge rage twice during each room 2.

So about 10 minute sites on average in a solo Hamgu, and very enjoyable. Wins most contests, too.

Using a Gila to run these in HS at the time.

Wasn't certain if the 2nd pocket cruisers were doing thermal or explosive (seemed that way). Thermal confirmed btw?

Tried purger Gila with around 70% resists and buffer Gila with around 82+%. Both typical T2 fits.

If you can go 550+ dps, with good drone+missile skills, purger fit seems to have an edge.
If you are around 450 dps, I'd suggest the buffer fit, or if purger fit your shield will struggle at 75%+ damaged at times.

Cruisers seem to be the only 'challenge' by the way. The BC is a pushover.
Have fun looting! .. Or looting someone's else stuff Pirate

I use this Boombox for blitzing since that picture i swap drone mods for gyros so it does 970 dps cold or 1100+ hot

i further drop 1 of two kinnetics rig for t1 warp rig thing now buzz 4.5 au thru systems and i will drop 2nd rig too but not sure what to pit in for only 50call left i guess another warp rig.

That is with 3 720mm t2 howitzers mind you for 99% win due to alphaing final softcruiser just wait to see it takes shield dmg if contesting and blap away.

Missiles go to 20km... guns more than that but with 35km web and 40km optimal range on target painter no single ship will establish their 25km orbit before you clear the wave

Actually there isn't a ship that broke 20km missile range so far.

It is the most fun a had in a ship as of late cant wait to do some more modifications.

Bantam,Merlin, and moa. I would like the ferox skin, but we got 6 more days to dig one up.

I've hit 4 geckos, no bpc's yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a rattlesnake bpc. This is from the low-sec sites.

You should probably use hornet's.....the cruisers are weaker against kinetic.

The low-sec site are a license to print isk, ofc we ride in shinies.
