Hi all, probably sick of me by now lol

Was just wondering if there is a notable difference in the population sizes for the 4 faction home systems? I know Jita in Caldari space is the market hub for EvE, but are the other 3 similar in population size?

Kind regards,
Teium

Well in terms of market hubs Jita is the busiest followed by Amarr, then Dodixie, Rens and Hek (Minmatar have 2 main market hubs).

The market hubs aren't necessarily the capitals of their respective empires though, for example the Caldari home planet is in New Caldari, next door to Jita. The hubs are just where capsuleers do their shopping.

To teach you how to fish, you can open the map in-game and there are options to color the dots by various statistics: actual color of the star, sec rating, number of active pilots, recent ship kills, recent pod kills, etc. Set it to number of docked pilots and compare the size of the dots.

And as a gift of 1 free fish: Jita can has about 1500 people in local, Amarr I'd guess 500, Dodixie 300, Rens 150?

Keep asking questions :) The regulars here all like answering genuine questions. The only thing the community here doesn't like is troll posts posed as questions.

as Memphis has already described how to use the game map. Also, there is Dotlan maps which is a resource that generates a 2d map that in some cases can be more readable than the eve map.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

By far, Caldari space is more densely populated than the others. Not only is Caldari space comparatively smaller than that of the other races, but historically many characters were Caldari back when those characters started with more favourable skills and attributes (not post Apocrypha, released in 2009).

Conversely, Amarr space is the largest, and has the lowest player density. I grew-up there, despite being Caldari; great for mining.

Minmatar and Gallente space are probably on par with each other. Gallente were the favoured race initially, so older circa 2003 characters tend to be Gallente.

Heh, I remember those days. Everyone swore caldari were win and Amarr were hated by CCP. So I made my first character caldari. Then one month later when I found out EW didn't work on npc's I biomassed my caldari and made an Amarr because after much research I decided they had the prettiest ships, I hated flying around those ugly coal black with red stripe ships.

yea, asthetics first. Powergamer I am not.

How wrong you are... Caldari Prime is in the Luminaire system, Crux constellation, Essence region. Gallente space.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.
