LOL I can see RvB doing this tbh. Blue sets one and Red the other both in the edge of said grid as to ensure that its always on a common grid set and make the grid a free for all. Would be one way to do a battle arena in any system really.

Make rules, no engaging within such and such of the undock or something. Or have team matches with both undocking at the same time. Lots of nifty things you could do with it really. It would ironically not only be good for something like RvB but intercorp or interalliance fights. Only difference is that others can always pile on no matter what.

There will be deployment restrictions, yes.

Mainly to avoid people to be insta-omg-BBQ-blapped when coming out of warp / stations, to avoid having space where structure defenses overlap or have them hidden inside landmarks or other anomaly sites.

You didn't try hard enough. This would be a real cool idea, an emergency one time jump drive, once initiated jumping the Citadel to a random location within 5ly (same sec or lower).
