Continuing in this series of exploring the many teas of the cluster, Ms Morgan and I are proud to present the latest tea party. This time around, we will be looking at the teas of the Federation. Considering the multi-cultural make up of the region, we decided to explore three teas. The first will be a Jin-Mei, the second an Intaki and the third a Gallente brew.

The party will be hosted at "The Empyrean Club". The Empyrean Club is the public meeting place of the Chrysos Aigis corporation, who have kindly offered the venue. Located in the Inner Circle Tribunal station in Yulai, it is a neutral, apolitical venue for all capsuleers to relax and enjoy a tea in. In addition to the venue, we welcome Chrysos Director Ms Kaylie Jenn who will serve as additional host. Each of the hosts will present one of the three selected teas, followed by a relaxed, informal tasting session.

Details:

Time and date: Saturday 19/03/118 at 19:00
Venue: "The Empyrean Club" , Yulai II

Invitation is open to any and all who wish to attend.

"Face the enemy as a solid wall For faith is your armor And through it, the enemy will find no breach Wrap your arms around the enemy For faith is your fire And with it, burn away his evil"

An excellent idea, tea diplomacy if you please.

I'm fond of good tea, though I don't drink too much of it by choice.

Nonetheless, this is an excellent idea and I shall do my best to attend.

On Intaki we don't know we have tea until after we try to smoke it.

While traditionally I hate most things the Federation stands for, tea knows no allegiances. With the exception of kresh tea of course, which is strictly Caldari taken to the most literal sense. The point is, I'd be honored to attend if you'll have me.

During my time in the Legion I did grow rather fond of Jin Mei smoked tea blends, Intaki chai tea, and many Gallente loose blends from across their empire. While the State has many advantages to the merit of having one cultural identity, it does lack the variety that I find the Federation has in their products.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a fan of Gallente produced cans of berry-flavored iced tea. It's like rock-and-roll in a tin can. I know it's not necessarily what you'd expect to sample at a high class empyrian tea ceremony, but I'd be a little disappointed if these aren't featured.

This is a spreading of gallentean culture. It must be stopped at once.

Just think about it. Today you are trying their tea. And tomorrow you might consider freedom or democracy to be not dehumanizing phenomena... or even TRY them.

Aren't they sooner or later trying caldari teas? What's next, you like their tea so you'll try being a soulless corporate type? Obviously not....

You know, I should long for the day when we perfect propaganda so effective it turns Lord Onzo into a procurer for Lady Liberty.

The Amarr do have tea though. I recall Onzo mentioning something about a tea that has some kind of nobility title in front and ends with 'Grey'. They just drink their tea differently compared to the Gallente and the Caldari.

I have no clue whether us Minmatar have tea of our own except for that brew we use for our Spirit Quests.

Free the tea from it's ideological shackles! Enjoyment of brewed beverages is a universal human experience. I don't have much experience with Amarrian teas, but I doubt drinking a cup would fill me with the sudden urge to reclaim something.

I'd be interested in seeing what is chosen for the Intaki tea sample. There's some rumblings that I might have to organize a fleet operation for my corporation around the same time this event is scheduled to begin, but if not I'll try to be in attendance.

Well, one's body does tend to lose it's soul when drinking Caldari tea.....

Coffee is coffee! Don't you lump that together with the beverage where you just pour hot water over tea leaves and then set a timer.

As opposed to pouring hot water over ground roasted beans and setting a timer? Though don't get me wrong, I don't see them the same.

It's beans vs leaves! There's a difference!

Not to mention bean chemistry and coffee chemistry is quite different.

You can't even compact the leaves and fit it into a steam-driven coffee machine!

Or put the compacted leaves into a pot with a filter and boil water so as to force steam through it up into the upper compartment!

Or continuously boil the leaves in a small handled pot called an Ibrik.

Or drip water from melting ice onto the leaves over a period of 8 hours to make a decent cold and relaxing brew!

Or pump hot water through the leaves to get a decent brew.

Or various other methods that do not involve setting a timer that I can't think of right now.

if you have nothing to say in regards to the topic perhaps you should follow your own advice and keep your silence.
