I am still getting the same socket closing and disconnects since I stated in an earlier posting last week. So, have been 1.5+ weeks of not being able to play longer than 5 minutes at a time.

I am having my ISP verify everything the next couple of days and if that checks out, I am afraid after 10 years of playing a great game, I can not continue to pay for something I can no longer even stay logged into.

I have re-installed launcher, I run ping test. All sort of things.

I WANT TO PLAY EVE!

But, ever since the DB/HW upgrade 2+ weeks ago, I CAN NOT stay logged in longer than 5-10 minutes before I get disconnected. <-- That's the BEST amount I get, Usually it is 3 of the 5 accounts closing when they open.

AGAIN, I WANT TO PLAY, but can not pay anymore for something I am unable to use. ;-((

found "Issue" some clients was stuck while using multilaunch
found the exe only in system explorer loadet with some cpu load the made

solution was my old 1,5s client start delay was "accidential" set to 1s while a launcherupdate!

dear CCP do we realy need a startdelay to 120s but not anymore in 0,1s steps?
i would love to see we could adjust the delay in the first 10-20s? at least in 0,5s steps for better tweaking

oh and maybe i am not smart enough to find a copy option for client profiles if on the right site of the copy menu?

Hey guys I posted to a different thread about this issue but I was probably in the wrong place along with some other folks

got in from out of town and downloaded new update to launcher. now I get three separate entry point errors that pop up when I try to lauch. One individual found he was able to get it fixed using the repair tool but it deleted all his settings and I am trying to prevent that. I have submitted a ticket but thought someone might know something.

Can we get the launcher notifications (black popovers) and Latest News feeds consolidated please? It doesn't make a lot of sense having two mechanisms performing the same function and just adds clutter.

Nobody likes popovers, so I'd suggest moving all the launcher notifications and news into the 'news' feed.

And error code ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

the launcher window is white and thos informations ?

found out my last eve startproblems using multilaunch was because a launcherupdate had overwriten my old 1,5s delay^^
set it to 2s and got again startproblems
found out the launcher dont save the 2s setting anymore^^
(why is it usefull to have a up to 120s delay but NOT 0,1s in the first few sec or at least 0.5s steps in the first 20-30s?)

eve problems in this case are i see some eve exe started in process manager using lot of cpu power and stuck with about 270mb but never show up in taskbar
i use 12gb ram a 2500k CPU (not overcloked) and 2 SSD (one for System one for games/pagefile)
restarted the launcher even as admin no changes
my stucking eve clients with 1s delay are mostly the 3. or 4.

additional problem in this case: the launcher often loose the settings witch accounts to start as multilaunch and fall back to the last account in the list
its also anoying


p.s.: my slowest multistart delay on this system would be 1,4s below this some clients start to stuck i set it to 1,5s in the past for little bit more safe about this problem

I am using Launcher version 10 18996. It continuously cycles the "Latest News" and "Online" indicator every 2-3 seconds, and never has the "play" button available to click. I can only log on via the launcher by selecting the server list dropdown menu in the top right and manually choosing Tranquility, logging in via the page that starts up, and going from there. Basically the launcher is useless to me as a means to log into the game other than the drop down server menu.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Launcher TQ status is again broken.
No matter how many times I restart the launcher it states TQ is online 11,868 (the amount online when the server shut down).

Select to start client - Unable to connect.....

How does one actually know when the DT has ended?

My opinions are mine.

It really is getting harder and harder to justify $23 a month for each sub.

Since you asked elsewhere, at which location that delay is saved to:

Not the registry
not a settings file per say

Instead:

%localappdata%\CCP\EVE\QtWebEngine\Default\databases\https_launcher.eveonline.com_0\1

1 is a SQLite 3 db
Withn the contained table keyvaluepairs fnd the key website_settings. The value of that contains the launch delay, like shown here

However:
The value does not change if you adjust the delay from within the launcher settings. But the position of the slider does.

Can't tell, where that gets saved to.

Because it was all working fine with the new launcher and multiple accounts I decided to "Remember" them. I also modified the startup delay to 5 sec. Bad decision, all I got afterwards was:

"Sorry, but an error occured while processing your request.
Error code: LONG HEX NUMBER HERE"

Managed to restore defaults (?) by going to Settings -> General -> Forget all accounts.

Things were running good once more. So I decided to try and "Remember" them again, this time WITHOUT modifying the startup delay.

It worked, at least for now: all accounts are remembered (exited and rerun the launcher 5-6 times) and apparently the order of the accounts is also remembered.

While multiboxing, it causes to wipe all account data from launcher, when you close it all together it seems.

Happened a lot of times with me already

I am adding 50 acounts per week on eve launcher. Permabug. Add all of your accounts, then just a matter of few days to need to add it again.

For most of them, it even ask for a pilot name, because i never logged in with that IP before.

Make something where we can store our login info, then when theproblem happens, we reroll it.

hi

when are we going to get a reliable server status on the new launcher ?
this issue is going on for a while
for example during the todays DT the status shown in launcher for tq was online with 18k players active ...
not to mention singularity

Sigh. And of course exefile.exe works perfectly. Is there an ACTUAL REASON your launcher needs to depend on things other than the game server working properly?

I am also unable to log in to any of my accounts.

Found some additional hints.

Accessing the launcher's content from within my desktop browser (Chrome):
Opening https://launcher.eveonline.com/ redirects to https://launcher.eveonline.com/1.738/
If I change the launch delay value there and reload the page (or open it in a new tab) the value is saved and loaded to reflect the new value.

But once I access the current GUI used by the actual launcher - which is https://launcher.eveonline.com/1.889/ -, the value gets reset to 1 second, while the slider position moves to the previously set position. If I change that value and save the settings, the Local storage does not change. Reloading the page once again also resets the numerical delay to 1 Second while the new slider position gets saved "somewhere else".

I did not read the whole thread and I don't know if the subject has been discussed but ...

PLEASE, fix the server state display.
I don't know if it does not refresh often enough but you cannot know the state of servers during DT, that's annoying !

The launcher now has a --client-args command line option, so you could add --client-args /LUA:OFF to the command line used when starting the launcher (edit the shortcut).

Someone Is going to have to explain to me very slowly and very clearly exactly what is happening with this launcher thing. I come from Australia. I'm approximately thick as two bricks.

My launcher did not automatically update. The one I'm left with is completely unusable with the wall of script errors it quotes me every time I open it.

When I attempted to use the repair tool It simply disappeared from the games directory~

I can't seem to find any obvious link to download the new launcher and If I attempt to download straight from the website It wants me to completely reinstall my game. This is not an acceptable choice, because I'm from Australia, downloading EVE would take upwards of 50 hours.

What do I do...?

Reinstall from the main download page. The download is ~50MB and it reuses the shared cache from a previous install. You won't have to download everything again, even when reinstalling the launcher.

I hope I didn't type this too fast... :)
