Oh dear..

Fortunately, this bug reported bug report is (in the terminology of Donald Rumsfeld) a "known known" and not an "unknown known," "known unknown," or "unknown unknown."

Edit: Also, when that happens, your bug report still goes into our tracking system, despite the error. Hope that helps.

Edit 2: Just to be clear, our web team doesn't just know they know about it, they know they're working on it.

So it's not a quasi-known transitive unknown? Good to know!

What if you put the bug in a box ? Does it become half known and half unknown ?

No, what you are refering to is a quantum bug that is in an undefined state until we take a look at it to see if it's known or unknown and thereby enter a state of quantum entanglement with it. Until we do it's practically both. You cannot just create this state by putting a bug into a box.
