Just wondering, is there a skill planner like EVEMon and/or a fitting tool such as EFT available for Mac? A skill planner would be especially nice so I could have a better idea how to remap my attributes.

Unfortunately, there is no app that could fill the void that is EveMon, in mac. There is a paid app called "Character Monitor for EVE Online" in Mac App Store, but it is not so good really.
For fittings, PYFA can give EveMon run for its money. It is very good and regularly updated.

Character Monitor seems to have vanished. At least when I last looked for it.

Thanks guys! I will check out PYFA, a fitting tool would be a very useful thing to have even if there is no EVEMon equivalent.

Also, if you have a smartphone

Neocom for iOS

And then there are some for Android.

I personally prefer FlySafe to Neocom on the iPhone for keeping track of what my alter-ego's are up to.

EDIT: EVEMon 3.0.0-RC1 runs under WINE on the Mac - just like EVE itself does now (I haven't figured it out yet, but reading the notes, I'm salivating!)

It's skill planner is lacking in a few areas, but Vitality is good enough for most of my uses.

For short term skill planning for specific ships, the mastery tab is pretty useful.

Vitality for skill planning and Pyfa for fitting. Vitality doesn't have EVEmon's "optimize your stats" kinda stuff but whatev, and Pyfa's pretty much the best fitting tool out there anyway.

Alternatively, if you're just using your skill planner to keep an eye on what you're currently training since you can just dump almost everything in the queue and not worry about it anymore, you can also check up on your characters' currently learned and training skills in your browser at eveboard. (And don't worry, you can password protect your characters once you submit your API if you don't want other people looking you up.)
