Goodnight, those of appropriate timezones!

I "finished" with PD for now; collected enough AK for the armor and the lab coat. I hated biology in school. Apparently the best way to get me to do something is to offer clothing.

Not that it wasn't interesting. I like citizen science efforts - actually participated in something similar back in '06 called Stardust@home.

Ended at R58 and 91.6% AR. May go back later and get to rank 100 for bragging rights, but for now I don't want to see any more cells.

Are you saying you have to do certain things in-game to get clothing now?

It's part of a new initiative called Project Discovery. CCP partnered with a research group to have players help identify cell samples.
Doing so provides a type of loyalty point for SoE, which in turn can be used to purchase certain new cosmetics, currently only available through this method (and contracts, of course).

Well that was strange dream.

I have seen EVE character creator with different shaped heads available for characters. Not these facial augmentations shown above, but actual head scalps. Some of them had cringy shapes, like you would wear a piece of armored plate or beret under hairless scalp. Also discolorations were distinct, like a lines and speckles of different colours. Lol

There's also some new boosters with active tanking bonuses and apparently the facial augmentations that were linked on this page or the last.

Well, guess I won't be doing any of that research stuff, I'll just buy the clothes from the playerbase in Contracts or Market.

As for the Augmentations, those look like a facial copy of Brainiac (Superman's Arch Enemy) or some other comic book villain's face.
