Wars ruined for solo/duo corps

How I used to run wars? Wardec the three biggest alliances except goons, usually Russians, camp a trade hub and put eye's on incoming trade routes. We used to get kills every day, that was in AUTZ, AND it was affordable/sustainable.

Now it costs me 700mil to wardec two alliances and I have had nothing in 3 days. 20 wartargets in Jita used to be a quiet day. Now we're lucky to see anything.

Do you know why? CCP wanted to **** the game again. Any rich IRL person can sell heaps of plex, or however you get your isk, and wardec EVERYTHING. Every single alliance worth deccing is permenantly decced by code, vendetta, marmite, pirat, complaints, others... vendetta has 147 active wars when I last looked.... how do you even afford that? That's gonna cost about 30bil a week (rough estimate). That actually equals to more AUD I get per week IRL.
You're nowhere near making that isk from loot drops because your targets don't go to high sec anymore.

Simple rule of the universe. When everyone starts fishing in the same pond, soon there will be no fish left for anyone.
So what's the point anymore, to you who I mentioned above, if you think you're having fun you're lying to yourself

Wardeccing smaller UNdecced corps.
The only real way to do this was to ad them all to watchlist, run locates when they were online and run them down with your alt.
Can't do that anymore, regards; new watchlist changes.

So the only way to really benefit from wars anymore is wardec everything and make sure you're in the alliance who has the most decs, be online all the time and have no real life.

How do you afford this? Buy plex.

Who profits? CCP.

Anyone see what I'm getting at here?

Code/marmite and co are paid to wardec alliances by people who want to keep there identity hidden.

I don't see the issue with the cost associated with having plenty of easy targets. If it is too much for you then consider joining up with other wardeccers or getting your ass out of Jita and go roaming in lowsec or nullsec where you don't have to pay anything.

I too, relish the challenge of hunting furiously for flashy red things on my overview as my HG slaved insta-loki hovers within the docking ring, cheered on by my guardian/nestor alts staring hopefully out the station windows and my brick tanked command ship booster relaxing at a safe, polishing his NPC corp tag.

Theres a few options that come to mind.

Try to find a few other people who are looking for the same thing and split the war dec fee. 700 split between 5-6 ppl isn't to bad.
Pick a null sec alliance that lives near hi-sec and camp between there and the closest hub. When its quiet you can scout there null with a alt and go in at get kills where they feel safe.

Or, see if one of the Merc alliance will let you put your corp in and do your own thing.


There is plenty of ways to get intel instead of address book, public channels, putting a alt in the target corp etc.

Don't give up, once you have adapted it will be business as usual.

this actually made me lol, pretty much this is what wardecs are.... wasn't always like that.
and you're right what you said in my other post, i am the worst pirate ever... atleast recently, except im not a pirate.... used to be glory days for me.
i've become one of those bitter players who wish everything was like the good ol' days and can't adapt to the new system.

my experience in last few days is wardec two big alliances, find nothing, shoot suspect receive criminal flag and kill right lose ship, kill right activated next day barely survive, kill right activated again later lose ship (still have kill right on me wtf lol so i can just be activated on forever - shoot one guy dont even kill it and everyone can shoot me for a month), laggggg podded lose snakes... because i shot someone with suspect timer.

reactivated a month or two ago, undock looks like some kid scribbled on my overview, oh that's actually ships and im bumped 100km off station?

every ship i have lost recently is due to changes i haven't gotten my head around, like AoE MJD, pilgrim bonus changes (kites pilgrim at 20km suddenly capped out lol), limited engagement weird ass green colour overlaying GCC (is there even such a thing as gcc anymore?), so looks like guy shooting me cannot be engaged without receiving sentry fire so im left sitting there being like wtf am i supposed to do, what is these green **** on my overview...
i guess im just too old and stubborn now...
i still dont understand the new flagging system
solid green, flashing green skull, flashing yellow skull, solid yellow skull, solid red, flashing almost red, red skull, flashing red skull
limted timer
suspect timer
criminal timer
shooting at a pod but not killing it gives same sec hit as killing on and a criminal timer but blowing up a ship only gives suspect timer... in low sec.... but shooting at a suspect in HIGH sec without killing them gives you a criminal timer and kill rights.
maybe, just MAYBE im a ******.... or maybe this **** is overly complicated and ******* confusing...
how are new players supposed to even figure this **** out?
