I bought a month of plex but still in a trail account

^^ you have to redeem the PLEX for it to become active.

On a side note, some of the skills say that they can't be trained on a trial account in the info window; that text often leads new players to believe that they're still on a trial account after they've subbed, it appears for everybody, regardless of account status.

As this question is coming up multiple times a year. Let me explain this a bit further (and so I can just link it the next time).


What makes you think you are still on a trial account while you (think) you are on a paid account:


A. A skills description says "This skill can not be trained on trial accounts"

* This is a plain text part of the description. No matter if you are 10 minutes in your trial account of have been a valued customer for CCP for the last 10 years. You will still see that part of the text as it is plain text. Don't let this fool you, if you are a paid account, you can right click the skill and inject / train it.


B. When you try to inject a skill and it prevents you cause you are on trial account.

* This can be for a big reason, the server ONLY checks on trial vs paid on server log in. So if in your case, you logged in and applied the PLEX to get a paid account going, relogging will solve that problem as it forced the server to recheck if you are a trial or paid account.

C. You bought accounttime at "insert name of a official reseller of game time" but you are still on a trial

* Some locations (I have had it in the past with a PayPal transaction, but also know sometimes Amazon has the same) it can take a little bit of time for the payment to go through between you, the reseller and CCP. CCP will add the game time the moment they have received and verified the payment. So in this case, wait up to 48 hours to see if that solves the issue and if not, contact CCP through a petition to see if they can find the problem. Provide as much information to CCP so they can quickly find the issue.



In all cases, if nothing works as ISD Decoy said: Open a petition under the billing category and have a GM take a look at it.

You have to right click activate the plex ingame to activate it

If you bought PLEX from the website, it will appear in your redeem window. You need to take it from there and drag it onto the character you want and it will show up in their hangar in-game.

As everyone else mentioned, once it is in your hangar you can right click on it and click activate to apply the game time (30 days) to your account.

Be careful with PLEX if you intend to sell it. Once you redeem it you probably don't want to move it from the station or someone will try to kill you. In that case, it makes a lot of sense to move your character to Jita first (or make a Jita alt and put them there permanently) and give it to your character once it is in Jita. Then you can sell it on the Jita market (the biggest market in the game).

if you bought a PLEX from the CCP website just for your own game time then you are doing it wrong. just pay the normal subscription fee because it should be cheaper (not sure about 3rd party reseller if they sell PLEX < sub).
