Mining Drones are broken

T2 mining Drone = 33m3 per 60 s

Mining Drone Operation V = 25% bonus to yield
Drone Interfacing V = 50% bonus to yield
33m3 + 75% bonus to mining yield(24.75 m3)

33 m3 + 24.75 m3 = 57.75 m3

My question is my am I not getting these bonuses to yield when I have the skills listed above to level 5?

I tried changing session, logging out and in, and cleaned cache still. Did not help. Does not matter what ship i am flying. I have had this issue since they made the change with the mining drones. It does not matter what the ore volume is either.

What yield ARE you getting?

My drones seem to be working fine.

Remember, if you're mining something with 16.00m3 you aren't going to get 57.75m3 per drone per cycle, but instead only 48m3, cause those drones won't mine a partial unit of ore.

Ahh, strange. Has a session change helped? Do you always have this issue every login, no matter what ship you're flying or system you're in, etc?

It has been broken for me since they did the Patch on February 2016 Release 1.4

Released on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016

"Gameplay:

Mining drones have been reprogrammed to no longer return too much ore in specific cases."

I did the math on the topic:

Before the patch in question:

I was getting 765.75 m3 per 49.68 s (5 T2 Mining Drones)

Works out to 15.41 m3 /s (Did not matter what ore, It was the same)


After the patch in question:

Now I am getting 165 m3 per 60 s (5 T2 Mining Drones)

Works out to 2.75 m3 /s (Did not matter what ore, It was the same)

Keep in mind I am not getting any Skill Bonuses to yield. (Since the patch in question.)

SadMining Drone Operation V + Drone Interfacing V Bonuses are not applied since that patch in February. Sad

Weird. I'm no help then. My skills are working properly, though I'm only at 3 drone interfacing and 5 for mining drones.

Looking at your screenshot, I'm wondering if youre just looking on the information-window, or into your Cargo to see how much they actually mine. The values in the Information-window of drones doesn't get updated with your Skills

Miners in general are pretty broken IMO

Have you tried contacting CCP about this by opening a petition instead of asking us players?

That is drone window to see how much they mine. that is why i had the mining ship in the background to show that.

Go mine a cycle with a drone. Does it actually return 33.00 or under to your cargo? Cause my drones show 33 as their yield but they truly mine more.

I did... they return 33 m3 in drone bay and when mined for 60 s

Oh. Not that this is helpful, but your skills actually should give an 87.5% bonus, cause multiplicative.

No clue what the problem is though.

Tried on Sisi and it gave me the following results:

If i am getting a 87.5757576% Bonus to mining with drones then the the drone info when right clicked from drone bay is wrong.

It should show 61.9 m3 correct?

Wasn't there a post about a month ago that said mining drones had a bug that was causing them to over-produce? If so, they may have fixed the bug. I always found mining drones to not be worth the effort unless I was racing the competition in an anomaly.

I understand they fixed the bug on the drones overproducing. That is fair, however the drone bay info windows is broken if what i get from my Scsi test run is correct. No?

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at above when I asked if you had actually tested your yield instead of just looking at the window. The displayed info for drones has been wrong for a long time.

That drone bug was like 500% yield after recalling then relaunching drones, and was fixed.

This guy's issue seems to be something else.
