Is that the reason people are complaining, that it was an incessant repeating sound? One gong doesn't bother me at all.

I'm going to miss the bells. Every time I was in a big battle, I felt I was at an AC/DC concert listening to the opening of "Hell's Bells".

Please let us have the option of enabling the gong or something like it-- it's a handy reminder to switch targets when multitasking.

But ppl partaking in PVE, killing small rats, this sound was constant. Any sound being added will not be fitting. The animation is also laggy and should just go. Where was it asked for?????

I'm a bit late to this discussion... but I originally liked the feedback when I first heard the gong on sisi, then I didn't play on TQ for a while and just noticed last night that it was not playing... I can see how it was terrible for PvE but what about an option to enable it for PvP kills only? Or a slider in the volume controls along with everything else? The audible feedback is a great idea, but just give the players control and everything will be fine.

Part of the issue is that nobody cared/noticed that it was terrible for PvE until it was released.

Hey, glad to see CCP listening to player concerns. While we're at it, can we maybe take a look at not having Scope videos play in the captain's quarters? I know it probably took quite a bit of work to put them in, but as with the gong, it is neither the feature we need nor want.

agreed - it's very distracting and definitely worse then before when you see the red flashy X, you kinda know you killed the target, but the text box and your weapon animation keep going.
It makes game play feel clunky and disjointed where previously it felt possible to move gracefully and fluidly through targets, be they PvE or PvP.

If you fancy getting on a roll with undoing stuff we didn't ask for in the first place that still sucks, the old plus NPC) and square (Player) overview ship icons were loads better than the shambles we have now - any chance of a rollback, or at least a toggle option so those of us that want it can have the proper icons back?

On the other hand, it helps with clicking proper target after one of yours has gone - you at least have a warning that targets on your screen are about to move, so you miscklick things less when you are dealing with duties that require activating modules on more than one targets.
That said, I can agree that currently delay is a little bit too long.

Can we please have a way to turning off the tactical noise entirely from the new camera. Also a way of shutting off or turning down the thera and incursion ambient audio would be welcomed.
