Problem communicating with the EVE proxies - CREST

Up until recently my API calls have only had a few minutes of downtime here and there (usually during server downtime). As of a couple of hours ago, I either get a request timeout or the error below. Because of the way my script is written, I know I'm not hitting a rate limit. I'm actually only doing one call per minute.

Interestingly I am able to access these URLs directly, my server is just unable to access them.

Example URL: https://public-crest.eveonline.com/market/10000050/orders/sell/?type=https://public-crest.eveonline.com/types/28270/

Is it possible that the server I am accessing is working fine, but the one my server (in a different location) is accessing is down?

Same here, CREST has been returning the same exact error since this morning. I'm using OVH.

Update: getting the same error from my PC web browser now... about 80% of the time.

Same problem in evernus. Typical CREST experience, tbh

Ya it's not working at all... I'm totally shocked by this.

Don't expect it to be fixed before Monday. No company on the planet has people who are paged when things break on the weekend. Also, it would be impossible to setup alerts to notify you when your website isn't responding for hours.

Hopefully once FoxFour leaves CCP they will get some serious technical people in to deal with CREST and the API.

I confirm Pete Butcher's point. I'm using Evernus (the awsomest Eve tool) and CREST endpoints can't be accessed... again.

It seems like CREST has had two relatively long offline periods (or whatever breakdowns) since last thursday. First was during friday and second during sunday. Both offline periods were/are something like 12 hours long, no?... and sunday's timer is still running.

These observations and conclusions are based on my rickety biological data processing and memory unit so serious inaccuracy is to be expected.

CREST working again Cool Nice.

Stopping CREST offline counter now. The counter tells me that CREST has been inaccessible for... umm.. (insert an educated guess value here) .. hours today What?

Been getting these errors intermittently for a while. It was bad enough in the last couple of days of the crest contest that a couple of us had to submit entries with functionality that hadn't been tested at all.

I seem to see it happen for a few hours at a time. Maybe char related, or IP related.

It's a mess and there's been no noise at all about what the problem might be or even whether it's been being looked into.
