Seriously the dong felt like a trolling, personally i hope the animation is gone too.

While you are at it, can you also remove that annoying delay between killing the target and the locked target thing going away, the animation is like 2 seconds longer than it should be.

I mean THIS, this should not happen, seriously

It sounds really out of place, not from any sci-fi genre I've ever watched.
This sound really jars in PVE. X

The animation and the associated delay are also really painful to view. The graphic looks like something from the 90's and the delay as a dying target goes into the flickering animation and half the drones stay on it, and the rest select the next target, looks really odd and is sort of irritating to look at.

It seems like a 1-2 second delay but probably isn't as long as that, it just seems that way.

Please remove it from the salvaging of wrecks also...........terrible, terrible.

edit: it actually is 2 seconds or more long! No wonder it "breaks" the GUI

On a somewhat related note, I think that the low capacitor warning is much more annoying (but on the other hand, it both can be turned off and doesn't play as much often). If only that sound was replaced with something more bearable.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

Ive seen some blunders foisted on the player base in recent times but nothing says "we have lost touch with reality" like this gong, big X and that stupid camera, oh and the yakking station voice. Im not gonna complain anymore. Im gonna wait and play some other game for a week. if these idiot effects are not gone im gonna relog move my stuff to hisec, to give me the option of maybe one day in years to come if they get some developers who understand that eve is not an arcade game for 10 yr olds to play again. Then im going to unsub 3 accounts. Its not a threat, its already clear that the developers either couldnt give a rats ass what the current players like about the game or have no clue.Its just a fact, i play for fun and splosions not to be annoyed everytime i log on by ridiculousness. hasta la vista babies.

EVE is a sci fi game, internet spaceship.

Bells, gongs, are not sci fi flavoured sounds, but fantasy sounds.

Glad to hear it (or in this case not hear).

Any chance of adjusting the timing on the death animation? It hangs around for about a half second too long after disappearing and adjusting in the row of locked targets.

And now, my lovely CCP, can you also please get rid of the new epilepsy-inducing flashing death symbol. Ridiculous, out of synch with the rest of the game graphics and feel, and totally OTT.

Plus all the other stuff that broke.

(PS - if you could also get round to fixing broken stuff, and soon to be implemented pre-broken stuff, it would also be appreciated)

Good news - no offence intended - but what does it say of a company who yolo out things like the new gong with what would appear to be no consumer evaluation, prior?

The fact the gong did not get flagged as awful until release - i'm sorry but there is no corporate excuse other than to suggest that there must be no real quality control currently in place at CCP as it stands.

I look forward to seeing what you do with it. the IDEA makes sense. Toggle-able is good. Alternate sounds would be good. Being able to set it to only chime for PvP and not PvE, also good.
