Note: The following is based off of my immediate thoughts on this, and any feedback and help would be appreciated. I don't want to rage, I don't want to cry, nor do I want to give up on this game. But I just really don't want to spend more time looking for fits or making my own than actually being able to play the game Also can this be moved to the appropriate section if I did not do so myself?

With the March changes, there is some things I kinda like, while the rest is just broken. You see, I don't mind the fact that DCU's are now a passive module. I also don't mind that whole 'nerf the damage resists of the module/buff the native hull resists of all ships' mentality to balance it out. But what I really hate is how every single fit I know and use is impossible with the butt-stuffing CCP gave us by halving the usefullness of the resists and doubling the CPU requirements.
Why? Who in their right minds thought "oh, well DCU's are OP and it sucks that I 'have' to put them on everything just so I can fly" Or whatever other reasoning anybody could help telll me in doing this. All I know is every fit I have is now crap. It's bad enough that I have made fits where I could barely squeak by with little to no room left in CPU or Powergrid, but now I just bleh. I really am in no mood to do a ****-tonne of head maths again to fiddle with meta-levels of modules and still make a fit that does /not/ leave a slot empty. I hate empty slots, but I have to have one now until new fits are figured out with this "tiericide"(more like tiermurder)

I know putting this here, and not on the actual Eve forums is seen as a waste of time. But I will get to that after posting my own opinions here as well, because some people play through steam.

They just made them passive and moved some of the bonus off the DC and permanently onto the hull so DCs are not always the best choice to fit.

If you fit them before you get the same end result now. Unless you fit a faction DCU, then you get more than before.

What they said. If you are having fitting problems its not to do with the DCU. It's more likely due to fitting changes for things like webs/scrams etc. I've had to review A LOT of my fits to move down to the compact version of those modules. It kinda sucks that during the conversion they didnt convert modules based more on their fitting requirements as opposed to their performance but if they had done that then ppl would have been irate when the stat based value of their modules got destroyed.

It's a pita but it won't be long before it's the norm and we're all used to the changes and I think they are good ones. Way too many modules were either redundant or just flat useless.

Please ignore this thread, I'm going to try to get this removed asap so I don't look like an Ass more than I already have

To be fair the compact DCU's do take more cpu than the old meta 3 and meta 4 DCU's. It's minor but its complicated a few of my tighter fits.

It's hard to keep up, or remember everything in game.
I see 10 year veterans make mistakes all the time. Myself included.
The thread probably helped a few people learn stuff too.

No big deal Blink
