Hello peoples. I'm Skilling into A raven currently and i was wondering if yall could help me out with some fit ideas. Torpedoes or cruise missiles? exotic dancers and a mtu in the trunk? please?
p.s. still cant find the john in the captain's (me) quarters.

You kinda walked right into that one, OP. My Raven was equipped with the following is an EVE meme at this point, due to the thread I linked where the guy kept posting his horrible Raven fitting over and over.

You should be careful when asking for fittings for a Raven, people will spam you with either the original meme or other bad fits.

To answer your question:

1. Large missiles do a lot less damage to small targets, due to the target having a small signature radius and the missile having a large explosion radius. If you look at the stats for cruise missiles vs. torpedoes, you'll see that torpedoes have too big an explosion radius to hit a cruiser-sized signature of 130-150m. So, if you're thinking of doing level 4 missions with the Raven, this and the fact that torpedoes are short range and the Raven is a slow ship will pretty much force you to use cruise missiles.

2. Even with cruise missiles, you should definitely install a good target painter to increase the target sig radius to something that your cruise missiles can damage.

3. You'll need a couple ballistic control systems in the low slots to increase your cruise missile damage further.

4. And the Raven is, like all Caldari ships, a shield boat. For PVE missions, you'll need 2 hardeners to match the NPCs that you're going to fight (look them up on eve-survival.org), a good shield booster or two, an afterburner just in case, and cap recharges.

Here's the EVE University recommended fittings, they're somewhat old, but should get you started.

Don't start looking there, that's a horrible fit. I would encourage you to check out the Raven entry on Eve University's wiki as a starting place for finding fits: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Raven . Some of these fits might be old but it will give you an idea of how to fit them. Then you could go to a place like Osmium and search for fits: https://o.smium.org/search?q=raven+pve . Remember to not trust everything you see, so ask your friends or ask here if a certain fit would be okay for what you want to do with it.

The bonuses of a Raven make it an excellent sniping boat. You can use the MJD ( micro jump drive ) to jump out past damage and kill most stuff before it even gets within range to do any damage to you.

So many people are too dumb to spot the troll, including those enlisted to enforce the forum rules.

Not saying that I spotted the troll, but unfortunately even if we do spot it, following the forum rules means we take it as an honest question and answer it. Sometimes spamming the original troll with wall-of-text tutorials on how to do whatever, robs them of their fun and they go away. Not always though.
