ok, since the game goes down every day for an hour, why not have us return with a screen showing us getting out of bed, not really US of course just our room and we are getting up. Have a one line thing run saying its morning, and time to get to work, or something similar. Nothing big just immersion showing that we were gone for a short time and are back again. If we are in game and busy for hours and hours, might add a note that reminds us we haven't eaten for a while. Not force us to do it, exactly but mention it. I always thought that being hard wired into the ship notices like this would be automatic, but never were.

Thanks OP. It's been too long since Features and Ideas had a truly "Wat" thread.

I have some suggestions that I think will add significantly to the immersion you crave.

1) Have the morning message select from a stock list provided by CCP based on the current activity metric of your character. For example, if you've been running missions the message could say "You are a soulless machine devoid of emotion". Or if you've been mining it could say "Enjoy youtube and making iskies for free \o/".

2) A reminder for sustenance based upon a capsuleers sole food source of biomassed others. The message could read "You crave the sweet nectar of the biomassed unfaithful".

Also... Wat.

Eve is always hyping its big changes, many for top level players only. But something as simple as this could effect everyone. It could be done seriously, or humorously, it could just say 'good morning sir' or give instructions like your computer monitored the news while you were asleep 'Jita got attacked again, please avoid that sector today' little things to add some life to an otherwise cookie cutter existence.

Sounds cool, I'd like to see it implemented.

Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it.

This, remember the rule, when inventing unnecessary bullsh!t, make it optional!

It reminds me of my GTA 5 Online character getting out of bed when logging in. I like it +1

People don't like to think about it but spending days/weeks/ months on one game you DO make it part of your life. So why not let it become a small part. You start your day getting up, getting a shower and going out to work, let your character do that too...ok...maybe not all that, but something to show that you left and returned. The one hour every day the game is down never gets mentioned but here it becomes a part of the game and seems perfectly in place.

Your computer would certainly keep track of your health and time spent working. Let it say something from time to time. If you're doing something dumb (oh yes we do) then let it mention it. Those who don't want reminded they are living a part of their lives in a game can shut it off, honesty isn't necessary online...lol.
