I was bit bored and wanted to try something new.
I had brutix for L3 which was kinda meh, nothing fancy. pretty immortal ship and 30KM range +- with Antimatter ammo and rails.

So I decided let's try something new, lie the mini megathrone - the talos.

First of all this ship if pretty, nice animations and gun animations on warp and travel.

Then.
fricking 8 large guns.

I decided to try full rack of largest possible to fit, add some range to it and add anti matter ammo.
with the following fit I'm using I can hit everything in 80km radius with my current skills.
also with my current skills the guns provides 412 dps.

I tried L3 mission now got missing convoy vs drones.
That was utter fun! the ship moves pretty fast (I'm pretty sure I can switch to MWD in there... should test on pyfa).
I blapped cruisers and BC with single volley.
stuff died so quickly I was not shot at even once! not even by the turrets.

Awesome fun to pilot this ship.

EDIT:
Another proper test,
L3 angels Extravaganza.
as angels do mostly explosive damage which is biggest armor hole in this ship and they are fast and using webs alot this was a proper challenge.
this fit just breezed through this mission very very quickly. was very easy.

EDIT2:
Damsel in distress L3.
R-clik space > warp to in 70 km range.
Insta blap all frigs and kill all cruisers in 1-2 barrages.

this is by far the most fun ship I've piloted in eve.
Highly recommended.

EDIT 3:
Ok this ship was quite decent so I said "Let's try L4"
I got dread pirate scarlet.
First room was serpentis.
I had to kill all of them in order to get the key as I didn't had one on storage.
around 5 m bounties from that group.

throughout all the rooms once I got to 600m\s speed with my AB active all of them missed me.
Sticking to 50km range allowed me to kill them without being hit.

on room 3 I almost got scarlet ship pop'd probably bad luck that I missed her but with better skills she would have died on pocket 3.
on the last room was the only challenge as I wanted to blitz this I didn't bother to pull back and kill everything instead I shot scarlet and ran out but the turrets there killed my shields and I had to use my repper.
not that bad but if I was going for full clear it was possible with the talos.

EDIT 4:
ok I got blockade vs serpentis and now I see why one need marauder \ missiles or drones in order to easily do missions.
they bloody use dampening on me from 140km! it's ridiculous.
In 10 seconds periods where I am not dampened I can pop a cruiser or something but it will take a lot of time.

I'm a big fan of the Talos. It's a lot of fun to fly but I have had more success running them in fleets than going solo. They do some awesome damage but they're not super versatile beyond that. If you have a group of say, 3 Talos + logi you can wreck some serious face, though, for sure.

I don't believe the talos can use an MMJD, last I checked they were limited to combat battlecruisers only.

thing is serpentis are dampening from 140 km. so might need to squeeze something from 150km and farther.
