launcher v.2.2.999545 freezing when i open it

so on the launcher version v.2.2.999545 i open it and everything but as it opens it doesn't load properly because as it opens it freezes and brings up the rainbow colored spinning circle and it wont let me exit out of the window without force quiting it. and it keeps on doing this. ive been able to open up the game instead but now because of an update i cant play the game. ive tried using the repair tool but that didnt fix it. any help?

That version number looks like the old launcher. Have you tried the new one? It is actually a huge improvement over the old one.

i actually had the old one but my problem was getting all my settings from the older one. i just played around with that and i got it working thanks :D
