Greetings Pilots!

We're doing a little bit of research for a project idea. We would like to know how big a loss has to be, before you are interested in knowing about it?
if you could vote on the below strawpoll:
http://strawpoll.me/7008775
We would be super grateful!

As an additional note, if you could take a moment to elaborate on what makes a kill interesting to you, as a response to this thread,(Eg, deadspace fit destroyers, frigates killing titans, PLEX hauling rookie ships) we would appreciate it.

Thank you for your input!

PS: We're aware that it's really the story behind a kill is what makes them truly interesting, but for the purposes of the project, we're most interested in the sort of information you get from just the killmail.

The value of the kill is not interesting, the story behind the kill is what is interesting.

It's not the value that drives me it's the hours of whining and complaining afterwards that I just destroyed their entire Eve life and they are going to threaten me with merc warfare.

That's what makes it interesting, it's the experience of the thrill the loot is just a plus.

It's not about the kill,

It about how you got it.

Oh and if you know how to you can vote multiple times with Strawpoll so your numbers might be off if others know how to vote multiple times.

And I could figure it out in a couple of seconds I'm sure others have to

After nearly 13,000 kills, it was thrilling for the first few years. Now, I'd rather play something else or count my billions. Possibly PI will give me the adrenaline I need, if I could be bothered.

The answer is obviously how its even still POSSIBLE to blow up another players ship in highsec with the constant nerfs to combat, buffs to hp, and softening of the hard edges. Thats what i find interesting.

I for one am thankful for getting blown up in Highsec. If it wasn't for that i would have never tried lowsec stuff like faction wars or WH or null sec adventures. It is all because I got mad my retrievers kept getting blown up.

Now look at me, I am helping bring content to highsec.

CODE. Ganked my mackinaw and opened my eyes to the possibilities of this game and taught me the freedoms we all have.

The best kills are the ones that come from careful planning and cunning execution that end in a beautiful river of tears. Or some dude with a cargo full of blueprints that always makes me happy.

Anything that I have wait weeks to get, or where I have had to endure a slew of terrible smack beforehand. I love killing gobby b*stards. I love it more than lager flavoured nipple jelly.

Any kill thats out of the ordinary. Big kills, kills that have needed considerable knowledge of game mechanics, kills that have epic stories behind them, wiping out whole fleets solo, people getting ganked while hauling stupid amounts of some high value stuff etc. You can google "purple gank" done by Pasta if you want to see example of a story behind a kill Pirate

Edit:

Ah, right the info from killmail: damage taken (if its some stupidly high or low), who killed it, what ships, what guns, what kind of modules (officer etc), where, which security status...

A rough fight.
A well executed assassination.
A long chase followed by finally bringing the prey down.
Massive ISK disparity in the form of cheap ships murdering very expensive ships.
Delivering a savage beating to a mouthy target.

All of these things. Any one of these things. Some other things.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.
