'Add 20 units of Strontium to manufacturing requirements all fuel block types'

After that was released on march the 4th you'd expect to see a spike on the market around that time as demand will increase
And it did, but on February the 10th.

Strontium on average moved 2-4 million units in jita a day for approx 500-650pu for the past 6 months

On Feb 10th it moved over 26 million units in Jita for approx 630pu , with another 3 purchase of over 10 million units each.
Over 5 days it moved over 60 million units of strontium in transactions

In fact the massive purchase of strontium is the largest of the year almost doubling any previous order, and with this massive purchases of strontium the average price has gone from 618pu on Feb 9th to over 1000pu on Feb 17th

I know the figures show total transactions on the market without differentiating between buy and sell order, but as the average price increases dramatically you can surmise that most of the transaction history is purchases and strontium is being brought up at a very high rate. And this is just 1 trade hub.

Coincidence?

It was mentioned first in the Dev blog from February 10th. Of course the market reacted accordingly.
So your point is?

Quote: "...As such we are going to allow the four existing fuel blocks to work with the Citadels for greater flexibility. Since Citadels don’t use Strontium Clathrates for their reinforcement mode, we will add this particular material into the composition of the four existing fuel blocks to maintain its demand. The current number we have in mind is 400 units of Strontium Clathrates for a batch of 40 fuel blocks." End of quote.

Anyone who was paying attention knew, and some of us argued them down from 400 to 20 in the thread where it was first announced.

Most of the purchasing happened with the initial 400/200 announcements, making those likely regrettable purchases once it was revised to only 20.

Well it's harder to double down on stupid when you get an exact quote from the DEV blog.

If you had made this mistake, we would now be on page 4 and you would still be arguing that you were actually correct and everyone else was wrong.
