All my lvl4 missions are in low sec now, what gives?

So I've been running lvl4 missions on and off for the same agent now literally for years, and I recently got back from a long stint in WH space (about 16 months). Now I hop in my Golem, start a conversation and get a low sec mission (2 jumps away). So I decline and ask again, and low sec a second time. I wait my 4 hours, and ask again to get another low sec... 4 more hours and another low sec. By now I'm wondering what's up so I go ahead and start sacrificing standing since I have plenty to spare, and ask for 4 more.... all low sec.

Now, I used to get one every day or two since it's 2 or 3 jumps out before I hit 0.4 but 8 in a row. That was no big deal, as I could just decline. Did they change the rules for missions with the latest patch?

i'd move.

Back when I lived in Gallente space I used dotlan to find a .5 sec systems (best LP, of highsec agents) that are not adjacent to lowsec, then check that list vs agents you find in agentfinder.

Here's a link showing that Junso is a pretty sweet system in gallente space: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Everyshore/Junsoraert#sec

you could probably find good agents in other empires in a similar way.

Things have changed in the last 16 months. Specifically, agents now take the population count in the systems of the constellation into account when deciding which one to send you to. This was done to prevent systems with popular agents from being overloaded and lagging out.

As all agents are now +20, as suggested above, the easiest solution is to find a more advantageously placed agent.

The saga continues, and I have another 3 in row low-sec. I for one do think the mechanics have been changed, so I'll take your advice and relocate, which is a bit sad. I can't see how it is the population driving things since this one is rarely over the thirties.

Thanks all for the advice, and if anyone knows a dev blog or something which shows the mechanics where you are now preferentially routed to low sec systems for missions, I'd love to see it.

I was missioning in a 0.5. I started getting a lot of low sec missions. I moved. I have managed to get by since.

Which Region/Faction/NPC/SecStatus are you after? My database can spit out the agent you're looking for.

Caldari agents and space are preferred since I have 6.4 faction standing. I'm not worried so much about corp as long as they have a decent LP store. Would like to stay in the forge for trading in Jita purposes if possible. Will have to move a POS too so I'm hoping I can find a 0.5-0.6 system with a spare moon in it.

Don't want to get lowsec missions

I'd say you've got no more than about 8 systems to choose from.

Try Mitsolen (44 moons) or Poinen (89 moons) which are 0.6 systems and only 3 jumps from Jita.

Your only 0.5 option matching the above criteria would be Hampinen (24 moons) as long as you don't mind 10 jumps from Jita.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I tried Poinen already, and all the moons are taken. I'll try to others tonight.

Nice database by the way!
