New launcher doesnt work & old launcher crashes-to-desktop

If EVE no longer supports Linux then I guess I'll migrate back to Windows but does anyone have a workaround for this? The new Launcher does not work on Linux as it doesn't actually show the username+password boxes to login, so I have to use the old launcher. When I do that, I manage to get logged in and I get to character selection, but after I chose a character, WINE crashes and says there was an error. Happened multiple times now. Just wondering if there is any way of getting around this before I just do a fresh Windows install?

There is inded an issue with the new launcher at the moment, CCP Snorlax is already investigating this.

Sorry to break it for you.

CCP doesn't support linux since 2009 (Apocrypha).

All we got since is an unofficial - albeit great - support as "best effort" by some heroic devs.

They helped us in the past. I'm confident we're fuzzy and cuddly enough for them to want helping us in the future.
