Can we get a physical EVE soundtrack already?

Why isn't there a nice, high quality, multi-disk complete Eve soundtrack? I can't be the only one who wants one.

Yes CCP, some people still collect CDs. But that's not it. I know I can listen to the EVE soundtrack on soundcloud. I know you're going to link it as a standard response. But I just want the soundtrack of Eve physically because it's a damn good soundtrack, and aside from a beautiful artbook, the soundtrack of a game is the second piece of merchandise I would purchase from a great game.

I know there was a soundtrack CD release in 2004, that's only 14 tracks though, there's plenty of great new ones since then.

I can see a couple of reasons people might give for it not being made:

1. It's all on soundcloud. Why would you want a physical disk?

- For the same reason I would buy a physical disk of a game over a digital version. It's an actual physical object, with art, inserts, etc.

2. CDs are obsolete

- Not really, in fact their sales have gone up in recent years. CDs remain similar to, and often greater than digital sales.

3. Why though?

- Why would you buy an art book of eve? It looks nice, despite the fact you can look at most of the art online. Why would I buy a soundtrack of eve? It sounds nice, despite the fact I can listen to the tracks online.

4. Because they're always adding new music.

- Yes, and musicians are always writing new music, this doesn't mean they can't release a compilation album occasionally.

5. You could just burn a disk of the tracks

- Yes, but that will be on a dollar store CD-R with marker on it saying "Eve soundtrack". Not exactly what I'm looking for.

So while we're on this yearly deal of making cool pieces of merchandise (EVE Source in 2014, Art of New Eden in 2015) can we get a full original soundtrack?

Pretty damn simple, I'd be open to paying $40 for a 3-4 disk eve soundtrack with all the ambient music, the complete mission upbeat tracks (this time with actual names for the songs, not just Gallente theme 1) and all the title themes (Inferno theme, incursion theme, etc.) for each release. To be honest, I don't know why it doesn't already exist. Is there some CD hater at CCP preventing it from happening?

Agreed. Much easier to listen to when driving the car than having to plug in smartphone. I still got my collection of various CD's for this sole reason.

I think the reason might be the sheer volume of ambient tracks available. But they could just do a survey to see which people like best to narrow it down.

Or really, just make a high-end 8 disk soundtrack or something. People will want it. Just like they would pay hundreds of dollars for a floating Nyx, which does absolutely nothing other than stay in one place and look nice. A CD soundtrack not only looks nice and stays in one place, but also contains music. So we're already more useful than the floating Nyx, and CCP'll sell the Nyx, so by extension, I don't see why they wouldn't sell a soundtrack.

Or release them in multiple volumes. 4 Disks in each one.

If only there were a way to take the songs hosted on soundcloud and put them onto a cd....

I guess some people just like dropping $40 for the same thing.

I know that the Second Decade collectors edition has CDs with the Iceland orchestra playing a bunch of the EvE music, beyond that I haven't seen anything.

Good idea for the (eventual, maybe?) return of the Store =D

How about a limited edition EVE soundtrack USB drive with enough spare space to store more music on as it gets released?

Read the first post please. Ripping the tracks from soundcloud is not a collector's item, that's what people are looking for.
