Something I noticed looking in Skills and Requirements

I had no other idea where to put this as a newbro so throwing it here in General Discussion.

I noticed looking at Advanced Spaceship Command that at ASC 1, you can use the various Freighters; including the Bowhead but the skill for ORE Freighter skill itself (as an example) requires ASC V. Am I the only one that has noticed this and/or asked about it?

ORE Industrial requires Spaceship Command 3, not Advanced Spaceship Command.

ORE Freighter needs Advanced Spaceship Command 5.

You're not the first to notice this.

Your skill training will have to meet the most stringent of the prerequisites to get the ship, basically.

The lower prerequisites used to make a difference when we could lose skillpoints if we got podded without an upgraded medical clone. For example, once you got the Ore Freighter skill trained (used to require ASC 5 to inject), a cloneless death could reduce your ASC to 3 and you'd still be able to fly the ship.

Nowadays, they removed the clone grades, so basically that scenario of losing ASC points can't happen anymore.

Funny, I noticed this today but forgot to submit a bugreport. Thanks for the reminder xD

Actually, I looked as I was curious what was involved in ASC. Training fitting and ship handling skills along side Shield Tank and ECM.
